"Outstanding hotel! Loved everything about it. We were visiting for 1 night to do the safari (which was also fab) but wished we stayed another night just to chillax!! Was nicely surprised that their dining prices were no more expensive (in fact cheaper in some cases) than other equivalent properties in Sri Lanka given the remoteness & no other options! Food & staff were great. Lovely pool. Highly recommend."
"Our stay at Cinnamon Wild Yala was absolutely wonderful! The resort itself is incredibly luxurious, with beautiful surroundings that make you feel completely relaxed. We loved the little wildlife moments—monkeys and chipmunks even wandered right outside our room, which made the experience feel very special.
The food was buffet style with a huge variety of choices, and every meal was delicious. From breakfast to dinner, there was something for everyone, and the quality was consistently impressive.
What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to be helpful. They made us feel comfortable and ensured our stay was seamless from start to finish."
"Toilet Malfunctions – The toilets in the room were not functioning properly. They were not flushing or refilling, causing significant inconvenience.
No Room Change Offered – Despite reporting the issue, the hotel did not offer an alternative room or any assistance to resolve the matter.
Language Barrier – None of the staff members were able to communicate in English, making it very difficult to get help or explanations.
No Buffet Service – The hotel failed to open the buffet as expected, with no prior notice or explanation.
Disturbance at Night – There were multiple incidents of people knocking on our door in the middle of the night, which was alarming and unacceptable.
Poor Service – Overall, the service provided by the staff was unprofessional and unhelpful.
Random Door Knocking – We felt unsafe due to unexplained and random knocking on our door throughout the night."
"There was an infinity swimming pool overlooking, the wilderness, it was stunning and unforgettable. The hotel was to a high standard overall. Would return. "
