"Spotless and lovely. We slept in the upstairs bedroom which had a very comfortable mattress. The stairs are not prohibitively steep and will be fine for anyone with average mobility and balance. There is also a sturdy handrail. The village location is superb for strolling around town. "

"I loved staying in this house for a month. The large screened porch was my favorite place to sit in the morning with a good cup of coffee and a book. Extremely well equipped with kitchenware, it was a joy to cook, there was plenty of space for me and my guests, and I enjoyed the proximity to Great Barrington restaurants and stores and Lake Mansfield. Didier was always responsive and helpful."

"Entire house, including bathrooms were very clean. Open, airy and private as advertised. Decks on the East and South great for relaxing and eating. Only minor downside is that the limited shoulders on Alford road require extreme caution if walking to town. Not a problem for cyclists, however. We have vacationed in the Berkshires for over 35 years. This property rates in our top 1-2%."
