"The cottage is very quiet with a fantastic view of the river."

"What an amazing cottage and location. Our host was responsive and helpful and they provide an incredible amount of amenities that make your stay ever more comfortable. The cottage itself is well cared for and the grounds are well kept. The lake is a bit of a hike at 500m but they have a beautiful set up with multiple docks and locations to bask in a very private part of the lake. We did find the Sauna tough to use in terms of keeping a consistent fire going. They include a plethora of water toys like paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe. At the main building the hot tub is a little tight for a group but 6 adults can squeeze in. In terms of a private location to enjoy with a group this is such a perfect spot. So many of the “little things” have been thought out and we were very grateful that it was shared for rent.Thank you Kimberley for a great stay at Whitestone lake. "

"Lake was absolutely gorgeous and communication with owner was prompt and courteous and clear. That was a great experience.The cabin is well-loved and we don't mind bare-bones accommodations, but a few rhings that dis not match the description. There was a carpet in the bathroom! The carpet all over had stains and looks like it has been a part of the cottage for over 50 years. The vacuum cleaner is no longer functioning and it took over an hour to vacuum as closely as we could with little success- should cleaning be required in a cabin, the materials should also be available. We have allergies to pets and were sneezing and reactive while in the cabin, but that is our own oversight for not seeing or realizing that it is a pet-friendly cabin, or perhaps it was due to the filthy carpet. Jurys out.Trampoline was ripped and broken all around as well as two chairs which were broken on arrival- also, the shower is more like a water hose that you hold over your head in a poorly lit crawl space/basement storage.I hate to leave that comment because the owner was very friendly and responded properly but the description and photos are perhaps not updated with all the wear and tear which can come from rental spaces. I noticed this from another renter's comments from June 2025.Otherwise the property itself is nice.neighbours next door have lovely barking dogs and loved singing karaoke outside on the weekend. "

"The property was lovely, clean, comfortable, peaceful and very scenic.Access by boat was navigable and swimming was very accessible.Property owner was extremely helpful, accommodating and informative .Property manager was very kind and went above to help us when needed.Fishing was great.Lots of outdoor sitting space with beautiful views and comfortable seating.Would stay again at this lovely property.Thank you for a beautiful stay ! "My whole family of five (including our 8 month old) all came together and had the most wonderful time on this property. The place was emaculate and so impressively decorated, it felt like quiet the luxury and we enjoyed the peace and relaxation. It was the perfect reset from city life."
