"The best and worth part of staying here is the view aside from that breakfast was free it helped a lot with spending money on food also because the only way to eat is actually getting into a taxi and finding everything else since you are on the top of a mountain and there’s nothing near or around there unless you’re driving or taking a taxi which are per person and becomes very expensive after a few rides a day. Did wish the breakfast was more flexible as you only have 2 options to choose from unless you want to pay to eat something else from the already set up menu. The waitresses at the restaurant were very helpful and friendly at breakfast gave us tips on things to do. We noticed St. Thomas isn’t really ADA so if you have any issues with climbing or stairs you might find yourself very stranded since everywhere there are hills, stairs and no way for someone who disabilities to get to anywhere specific this hotel where all they have is stairs to the reception, restaurant and rooms not even talk about the pool which is like 3 floors down the reception. If you love the view you are in for a treat if you want to be close to everything this is not the place you can’t walk you need taxis nothing is walking distance as that is not a possibility."

"This is a great place and a great value. If I could change only one little thing it would be to get the water in the shower a little more hot; it’s not cold but not quite hot—a little over lukewarm. I’m sure this could be a quick fix from a maintenance engineer. There is a little road noise, as well, which you can’t help being that close to the main road. Overall, it is a really great hotel that is easy to get to and close to everything (ferry, airport, restaurants/shops, and my work. I travel every other month for work, and I will likely stay again (if they can heat up the water a little ;0). "

"We were a group of 7 ranging in age from 12-81. This was as family trip for us, first time in St. Thomas. The house is amazing! Loved how the kitchen and main area is set in the middle and bedrooms are spread out. The pool was wonderful and the views are amazing from every area. We cooked for most meals and the kitchen is very well equipped. We had groceries ordered ahead of time from The Market which Sati delivered for us. We noticed that a lot of our cold groceries were missing- as it was Easter Sunday we figured nothing would be open. They were open and were so apologetic about missing our cold groceries they delivered them that morning! Cost-u-Less and Moe's were also great for groceries. The beaches are beautiful-loved Magen's Beach which is so close to the house. Sapphire was beautiful as well. Would definitely recommend checking the cruise ship schedule as the beaches get crowded quickly. We soon learned to get to the beach by 9 and had no problems with getting chairs. Day trip to St. John was definitely worth it as well. Driving wasn't an issue for us, but can be a bit intimidating if you aren't used to driving on the left. Would definitely recommend Magen's Hideaway for anyone. Neighborhood was quiet and perfect for morning walks- lots of hills!! The only problem is that the house is so nice that it's hard to leave to explore the island! "

"Our second visit to Ocean's Edge, yet certainly not our last. Very comfortable and functional for three couples plus one child. While it's easy to spend days lounging around the pool and taking in the breeze and the view, the villa is conveniently located to everything else on STT."

"All the comforts of home, in paradise. We (5) stayed here over spring break 2026 (two adults, one 12 year old, and two senior citizens), and were very happy with the experience. The property is very easy to find, yet secluded at the same time. Comparing this to the other homes we’ve rented, it is on the larger side. We enjoyed many hours sitting on the covered patio, being cooled by the nice breeze and enjoying the view. By far, this house has the best pool we’ve ever experienced. It was at least 25 feet long and 10 feet wide. The pool seems to be heated and has steps at the shallow end, about 3 feet. The pool gradually dips to about 6 feet at the deep end. There is also a submerged sitting ledge about a foot under water all along the house side of the pool. We went to a different beach each day, and in mid-afternoon were usually in the pool enjoying a post-beach splash. Also, this pool is great for star-gazers: free float or float on a raft, and stare up at the stars at night. One of the benefits of St. Thomas over St. John is the number of restaurants. We tried a few and enjoyed the food, but we also enjoyed cooking at home.Power outages in the islands are frequent. This property has solar panels and a battery system so we never experienced any outages longer than a few seconds. One day, the Internet went out in our area; otherwise, the Internet was solid the duration of our stay. The stove is gas, so the power outages did not affect cooking at all."
