"I am not one who is big on leaving reviews, but this place merits a review. Great, well maintained, locally owned, boutique place to stay. Is it a "5 star hotel". No. But it has all the amenities a traveler needs. The vibe is great, Chase and Lyndsey are fantastic hosts and the location is great. Chase and Lyndsey are warm, caring and go out of their way to give you the best experience for your stay. The property is a lovely garden labyrinth. The rooms are basic, but clean, quiet, and provide you with all the amenities you need: in-room coffee, AC, TV, in-room safe. Mine had a lovely view of the city and partial of the bay. It's walking distance to downtown. The walk back up the hill is a good one and includes the historic "99 steps", built in the 1700s. But you have the wee pool to cool off in once you get back. And the pool has a great area to relax around with lovely views. The proximity to Blackbeard's Castle means you have a restaurant within walking distance. They share the same parking lot. All and all, I feel very lucky to have found this gem of a place to stay while I was visiting. It hit all the notes and more for me. I will stay there again and recommend it to friends."

"Amazing ocean views, very clean, attentive staff. I would recommend a game room, pool tables, darts and gaming machines. Food was subpar but the kitchenette was a game changer! Security should be more focused on crowd control than guests. Overall I would recommend Bluebeard’s Castle in St Thomas."

"Location was absolutely key! While the hotel is a bit older, it still offers a nice stay. There was a water pipe issue, but it was out of their control, and they thoughtfully provided water for guests. Remember, it's an island, and sometimes things happen! The downfall is, there are lots of stairs but it also makes for a better view 😉 #Location #Hotel #Island #View"

"Breakfast was always fresh during my stay, and the staff was helpful and friendly. However, one thing left me disappointed. I had booked this trip for my honeymoon, but on the day I was supposed to fly out, the airline canceled all flights to St. Thomas. I called the hotel and spoke with someone at the front desk, who transferred me to the manager. I hoped they could offer some kind of accommodation or flexibility given the situation, but they didn’t. They said that because the room was held for me, it counted as a no‑show, even though I was fully prepared to travel and the flight cancellations were completely out of my control. It made an already stressful situation even more upsetting."

"The shower drain didn’t work at all, it flooded our entire room and ruined our belongings that were on the floor. The staff couldn’t move us to a new room and didn’t make an effort to provide any compensation or additional services to offset this poor experience. "
