Find a Great Motel Mackenzie Basin

A lovely welcome by the owners to this 2 year old property. Appreciated the lift so we didn’t have to lug the suitcase up stairs. The room was beautiful. Bed ultra comfy. The views of the mountain were great. Loved their snow caps.

Wow! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The room was absolutely stunning, staff lovely, location second to none and that bed - wow!!!

Great place. I enjoyed my stay.

Love the motel. We are family of three kids under 10 years old, one is a toddle. It is little bit pricy for but honestly no complaint with the cleanness inside. We are happy to stay again.

great location and nice spacious accommodation

We stayed in a newly renovated room the facilities were great the host was friendly and helpful and very accommodating

Clean, central and tidy. Warm also, not much more you could ask for

What a lovely place to stay!

Great and tidy set up

Clean, easy to access, after hours key drop off was easy as well.

Spacious, beautiful location

We loved this Motel. The staff/ (Owner I think) was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean. It is in a great location and a short drive to Lake Tekapo. The owner recommended restaurants and some places to go star gazing.

Facilities: Good; Value: Great deal; Service: Respectful, Courteous; great spot. we'll be back!

Very nice motel. Had a room with a great mountain view. Even though it was a studio unit, it was more roomier than other properties ‘1 bedroom’ units. Management look after your needs. It is also well on the affordable scale.

We stayed in a king size studio that had plenty of room. From the entrance we could see the snow covered mountains which was a bonus as the actual view was towards the township. It was clean and it had a well equipped kitchenette which is essential as eating out here is v expensive. Only issue is sound proofing, we could hear the neighbours whose alarm went off at 6am. They also left their car running for a good ten minutes before leaving but it was not frosty or snowing..

Arrived late on a Saturday to find friendly hosts who had the heaters going and the free wifi all organised. The room was way better than expected for the price. Modern well laid out and super comfortable. Spotlessly clean. We had booked a spa bath unit and again were pleasantly surprised to find a large corner spa that was great to relax in after enjoying the wonderful walks around fox. We had only booked one night but quickly decided we wanted to stay on as fox glacier had more to offer than...

Lovely clean and well maintained, bungalow, great views, looked after by Mel Rachael and Steve

Just right for a short stay. Car parking at your door. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Close to all activities and the view is stunning!
