"Great food and drink with nice staff. Some rooms could do with a bit of a refresh and modernisation. Little bit expensive for the quality of the room but other than that it was a nice experience."

"Lovely friendly staff, but the shower was tiny, mouldy and the sink didn't work, so hardly any water coming out. I reported the problem with the sink the following day, but was told that it may not get fixed as the hotel was undergoing a full renovation in a few weeks. I fully understand that the owners don't want to spend money when they are ripping out old rooms AND I was offered a room change, but decided not to take it. Room cleanliness was good, but I gave a low score on the overall cleanliness as the hotel needed a deep clean, but as above, no point if they're renovating soon. Would stay again, but I'll be waiting until the renovations are complete."

"The hotel is in an ideal location to walk to the nearby Kelpies or Falkirk football club. Staff are excellent all very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is about the shower the water pressure was pathetic and one night there was no hot water. Food at Cooks was excellent and definitely worth going back for that alone."

"The home is beautiful and spacious. Perfect for our large group of travelers. It truly became our "home away from home" and was very comfortable. The lower level bedroom suite was great for my grandparents, and there was a second suite on the upper level for my husband and I. The washer/dryer and newly remodeled kitchen were a really nice addition. I only wish they included additional bed linens and blankets, as we wanted something to wrap up in while watching TV in the living room, but only had what was on our beds. And one person got cold with just the one bed blanket and ended up buying one from the store. Otherwise, a perfect stay. Quite centrally located - grocery stores and pubs nearby, and not hard to get to the highway. The train station is a 5 minute walk away, so even without a car, getting around is very doable. Falkirk central is minutes away, Edinburgh proper is a 25-40 min (depending on traffic) drive away, and Glasgow is 45-60 mins. A definite recommend for a stay in the Edinburgh area!"
