"Absolutely a lovely little slice of bohemian beauty; smack right on the beach. A True rustic beauty that is on the beach but away from the madness of the main district of Zona Hotelera. Both restaurants on the property are lovely; Olivia has sensational, fresh breakfast and Agave on the beach for lunch is lush (fab tacos). Biggest brownie points go to the staff who are warm and kind and endearing, if you’re looking for something that feels truly local but safe and clean and extremely quiet and tranquil, this is it."

"Stayed March 1-11, 2026 The beach was terrible with sargassum never seen before. I realize this is a natural phenomenon but no effort was made to reduce it. The Sargassum started to rot making a smell so bad it permeated most of the resort. Bathrooms needed upgrading. Staff amazing. Pool areas wonderful. If you are a “beach” person stay away…..if you are a pool person it’s good. "

"Rooms were clean but dated, drinks were watered down, food choices were limited and quality was quite poor. A la carte's were fully booked and could not secure a reservation. Front desk staff were no help. No direct access to the beach only by shuttle and the quality of the beach was bad. Short shoreline, sea weed everywhere with little to no maintenance, waves were rough in this area."

"I know I booked a breakfast with this hotel but was advised otherwise at check in. There is little one can do at this point but I have learnt a valuable lesson to screenshot the booking on Expedia in future. Other than that the hotel had great facilities. It did feel a bit isolated at night as there is no street lights into town."

"This was our 3rd year in a row staying here. Many changes have occurred since new ownership took over. None are for the better. Food is not as good as in the past . Upper shelf drinks in the bars are no longer available. Couldn’t even get a kahlua drink! They said they were out of stock. Weeds in the water are getting worse. No alcohol in room refrigerator either……just beer. Other than the front desk lying to me several times during check-in, I eventually got my way for room choice. All of the other staff members and employees were wonderful. Many of them were really concerned about losing their jobs under the new ownership. This is still a beautiful place but not the same luxury as in the past."

"Beautiful property that felt luxurious yet not pretentious. Food was excellent and loved the cappuccino smoothies! We stayed in a suite that had a private plunge pool and it was gorgeous! Staff went above and beyond with making sure we had everything that we needed and made our room spotless every day."
