Amaël and Ida were wonderful hosts who provided clear instructions for check in and were available throughout our stay. We had misread the listing and did not realize there was no air conditioning. This was in no way the owners fault, as it is clearly listed, but we were surprised and it made for an uncomfortable stay in a heat wave. The apartment furnishings are older than the pictures in the listing and the surrounding neighborhood did not feel safe in the evenings. With that said, we had everything we needed and were conveniently located right next to the metro station. This apartment would be lovely in cooler weather.
Great apartment in a great location. Kitchen was well stocked with necessary equipment to cook for ourselves, and the flat was spacious and comfortable.
Lots of space including a lovely sunny living/kitchen area, and the beds were comfortable. Looks carefully at bathroom pics if you have shower accessibility needs. Area was nice and walkable -- definitely walk down to the river, it's so pretty -- but also has nearby transit. Would definitely stay again!
A lovely, characterful apartment in a fantastic location, with the metro right on your door step. Happily, the apartment is within walking distance of several fabulous restaurants and had all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay, including a grocery store very nearby. We would gladly stay there again if we are fortunate enough to return to Lyon!
Apartment is on the fifth floor (with smallish lift) and is located close to the Lyon metro (which is excellent) and grocery stores but is not walking distance to the old town. Facilities are good but the furniture is starting to show some wear (especially the sofa). Further, the third bedroom is for children only (loft double bed is very close to the ceiling for adults). Dealing with the host was easy and check-in was seamless.

Great location central to everything
You could not ask for a more central location than this property. With the metro just beneath you it is easy to move around the city with ease.
The apartment was well appointed and very spacious. Good views from the balcony. Checking in was also very easy, Carine was there on time to open up for us and to explain how everything worked. If you have a car the parking arrangements are very good as well. Would highly recommend this apartment if you are coming to Lyon.

Spacious apartment
The apartment is as pictured; it's spacious, bright and located in an area with amenities close by. The host was generally responsive however be aware that if the outside door code sent to you doesn't work, it's probably because its been changed and your host hasn't notified you of the change (it happened to us), so contact your host immediately. Be aware that disposable supplies (garbage bags (we had just the one in each of the two bins for a five day stay, dish soap very low and hand soap the same, no washing machine soap) are very limited.

Overall, not too clean. The floors were dirty and we all wore socks because otherwise our feet turn black. Also, the couch is in bad shape and doesn’t look like the pictures. The loft room had a musky smell. Immediate neighborhood is not great. Did not feel very safe walking around. On a good note, the kitchen is well-equipped and spacious.

The floor was quite unclean. Our feet were dirty after walking on it. There were very few hangers, places to hang your clothes (closets were locked), toilet paper/paper towels). I tried to cancel soon after booking but was told there would be a fee despite the ad saying that I could cancel with no penalty up to a certain date. The floor is extremely squeaky. The fan in the living wouldn’t work. A chair had the seat coming detached from the base. The third bedroom has a bed up a movable ladder. This is not good for adults who might need to get up in the middle of the night.
This was the best rental experience I have had. The hosts were so accommodating and easy to communicate with, and this was way before we arrived. The apartment is in a excellent location. The metro station is just a few steps away. Walking to shops, boulangeries, restaurants and Old Lyon. We met up with family for a 5 day visit and the apartment was perfect place for us to gather. The kitchen is very well equipped.The lift/ elevator fits 2 .It was nice to have use of the washer and dryer. We took the metro back to Part Dieu station. You will need a metro ticket to access the lift on the street level to take you down to the platform. Very helpful when you have luggage. A lovely light filled space, to spend time in amazing City. Le logement est très bien situé, métro à 100 mètres, commerces à proximité etc.....L'appartement était très propre, bien équipé, très bien chauffé. L'immeuble est calme. Un tout petit bémol sur l'emplacement de toilettes.Nous reviendrons certainement lors de notre prochain passage à Lyon

Arrival at the property was very easy. Yoann left explicit instructions on how to enter and maintain the property, and was always available with any questions we may have had.
The apartment was clean and very comfortable. Location is perfect, as we were just a few steps away from the metro, across the street from the bus stop, and close to 2 or 3 neighborhood grocery stores.
The little deli next to the apartment, "Bruno Morel" serves delicious home-cooked meals daily, and the owners treated us like family. All of the appliances in the apartment worked great, and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking accessories. The layout of the premises was very handy. We definitely recommend this apartment, and would stay here again.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saxe & the City. The apt. had everything we needed and more. We couldn’t beat the location either. Our hosts were so responsive and everything was in order, as promised. We would love to return! Our only regret...vacation ended and we had to leave. Many thanks for a pleasant stay!
EL departamento es moderno, limpio y céntrico. Ideal para una familia. Mis hijos y yo disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia y algo suplementario a agradecer fue la pequeña oficina. Mi esposa tuvo que trabajar varios días y la oficina fue ideal. Hay que resaltar también que el departamento cuenta con lavadora y secadora lo cual es fundamental cuando viajas con niños.
Recomiendo ampliamente este departamento y agradezco a los propietarios por sus atenciones
We loved staying in the apartment, it was spacious, comfortable and quiet but in a central location, easy access to transport but we mostly walked everywhere.
All the positive reviews are true. This is a lovely spacious flat centrally located in Lyon and offers everything a guest could want for a city stay: Metro access, a lovely view, full kitchen and laundry, comfortable beds. We visited during extreme heat and the only downside is that there’s no air conditioning in the unit. Otherwise, a perfect stay.

Home away from Home
What a fantastic apartment from which to explore the beautiful city of Lyon with all it's hidden treasures!
So spacious, so clean, so well-equipped & an elevator to the 5th floor - comfortable bed and strong wifi ( essential for antipodeans travelling for 3 months). This is clearly not just a 'holiday rental', but Yoanne & Ida's home.
And importantly, a Metro station (lines B & D) immediately below giving quick access to Part-Dieu station, the Tourist Centre at Bellecourt, and Vieux Lyon.
Several boulangeries and a couple of bars are within close walking distance, and a wonderful Traiteur immediately below who managed to feed us on several occasions.
The apartment is managed by Natacha who is always on call and very professional, and Yoanne & Ida stay in touch.
All in all a wonderful experience.
Would not look anywhere else for a return to Lyon.

Pour un séjour parfait à Lyon en famille
Un appartement idéalement situé : boulangerie en bas supermarché bio ét Metro. La part dieu a deux stations. L'appartement est très propre. Un bon fond de cuisine et tout le confort pour passer une belle semaine. Le propriétaire est soucieux de notre bien être et très aimable. Nous avions deux filles de 6 ét 11 ans qui ont apprécié la chambre en mezzanine un "petit coin de paradis" ont elles dit ! Location à choisir pour votre séjour sans hésiter.
