Very kind and accommodating hosts. Excellent location and the place was very clean and quiet. The hot tub was amazing and the special touches of the homemade bread and eggs in the fridge made this stay even more special. A perfect getaway, Can’t wait to come back!
Amazing spot with many homey touches. Owners were so friendly. Comfortable with amazing views all around. The eggs and bread were so good, we took 4 dozen with us!!! Will stay here when in the are again!!!
We had an incredible time at this cottage. The space was beautifully appointed and clean. If you're looking for a quiet place to get away, this is the best place to go. The hosts are kind and responsive.
I loved my stay! The cottage was clean and cozy, and being able to use the hot tub was amazing. Ed and Betsy and all the animals were welcoming. The cottage was especially beautiful during sunrise. A very peaceful environment to stay in.
We had a great time here! The location was super close and convenient to town and the caverns. Our hosts were very welcoming and even gifted us a few farm-fresh eggs for breakfast to get us settled. 100% would stay here again for another visit to Luray.
We really enjoyed our stay at the property- it was comfortable, clean, and quiet- everything we needed. The hosts were kind and helpful. I loved the breakfast bar that looked out over a beautiful view.
Loved seeing it was professionally cleaned prior to our visit. Cute, clean, comfy, and reliable central air. Hot tub was lovely, and had shelter above it which was great since it was raining. The tin roof on the cottage was cool to hear during the rainstorm. Friendly animals too!
Perfect place to relax and unwind after spending the day hiking at Shenandoah. Hot tub was a great amenity. Cottage was clean and well stocked. Owners are very nice.
Perfect location near Luray. Hosts were very nice and incredibly helpful. The cottage had everything we needed, great view, and hot tub was the cherry on top!
The place is just awesome for a couple weekend hideaway.
The apartment was spacious and clean and had all the amenities if you wanted to stay in and cook. I highly recommend this place you wont be disappointed.
Super quaint little cottage, exactly what we needed. The hosts are incredibly sweet and accommodating. The view is of open farmland with mountians in the distance. The sun sets off the back of the cottage and theres a wonderful view. Really wonderful spot!
Absolutely loved the place… very peaceful, the owners were so kind they had left us a fresh blackberry cake and fresh eggs in the cottage. 10/10 recommended
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was quaint and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was there and the owner even gave us fresh eggs and a home baked bread! It is located close to skyline drive and the Shenandoah National Park. We did some hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Would highly recommend this property!
Ed and Betsy went above and beyond for our stay. Incredible cookies were waiting for us on arrival and we had 6 farm fresh eggs in the fridge that we ate before a hike to Old Rag. If you’re looking for a unique and serene place with proximity to the Luray Caverns and Shenandoah, you have found it here!
The Cottage at Ravens Roost was a wonderful venue for us to rest as we explored the Shenandoah Valley. The dogs on the property were so friendly and adorable! We loved watching the horses in the mornings. Not to mention the farm fresh eggs and the raspberry lemon bread that we were surprised with when we arrived! Excellent hosts, excellent stay. Thank you both!!!
The little blue cottage is so cute sitting alongside the big red brick house. We were in the area to participate in an event. We found this location to be perfectly situated near the event as well as to Shenandoah National Park. The host/hostess made us feel like they really enjoy having guests.
We need to come back for the Caverns and fall leaves.
We felt very at home here, and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfy, and we loved finishing each day with a dip in the hot tub. We enjoyed meeting all the resident dogs and kitty, especially. Waking up to the farm views every morning was just magical! The location was only about 15 minutes from the entrance to Shenandoah National Park, 5 minutes from downtown Luray, and maybe 10 minutes from the Luray Caverns. Truly the perfect spot to sightsee and relax.
We chose this spot as it was close to a wedding venue and I was in the wedding party. The location of this place was convenient to get to and from all the wedding festivities. We fell in love with this cozy cottage. Bonus was we got to take our small yorkie with us so we wouldnt have to board him. We are hoping to return and stay here in again to fully enjoy a stay at this lovely little spot. Thanks to the owners for making us feel welcome.
The cottage at Raven’s Roost was a perfect spot for our long weekend enjoying the Shenandoah Valley area. Ed and Betsy were excellent hosts that really take pride in making sure your stay is everything that it can be. We loved getting to play with the dogs everyday when we came back from hiking. Miss Katniss, the orange and white kitty, loved having our attention too. We would definitely stay again at Raven’s Roost for our next visit to the Valley.
