"The owner was very responsive and accomodating. The condo was very clean and as described on the listing. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the valley floor."
"Probably the best place to stay for all year, easy access to the valley. I booked my trip expecting some potentially snowy weather although it wasn't an issue for me, the forecast shifted in my favor. Yosemite view would have provided the easiest and shortest drive in to the valley from anywhere outside the park - 25 minutes of what can only be called a "destination drive" to the valley and all the parks villages campgrounds and eateries. The drive itself is so beautiful and care free it's actually a strong argument to stay just outside the park.
Although dated, the lodge has a humble charm that
I rather enjoyed. The hot tubs were functional in December, it was still sixty plus degrees and sunny. The room was clean enough and provided a kitchenette. There is a convenient store with a gift shop. If you forgot any miscellaneous items or have any last minute trail needs it's handy. The convenience store was stocked well enough - frozen breakfast burritos, pizzas energy drinks, pretty decent alcoholic beverage selections as well. Both the pizza place an restaurant were good, pricing was on par with attraction oriented dining. If you are looking for a dinner place in the park that's very romantic but a little pricier look into getting a reservation at the awahnee. Basecamp eatery at Yosemite Valley lodge also can be handy for last minute trail snacks or a place to sit inside if you need it and are already in the park.
I'd recommend this place to anyone!"
"Room was beautiful. Comfortable bed and furniture. Gorgeous view from our balcony. Restaurant was delicious food at all meals. But service is seriously slow. Not the fault of the servers. The food came out of the kitchen very slowly.out of the kitchen very s"
"Awesome place! Very spacious and comfortable. Easy check in.!The beds are heavenly, and each bedroom has nightstands and a desk. The bathrooms have plenty of storage space for toiletries in the vanities. The kitchen has everything: toaster oven, blender, huge microwave. The hosts thought of every possible kitchen necessities. Beautiful sunset view. Two decks & furniture. We didn’t use the grill but it’s there. Best of all, kid-friendly. Pack n play, toys, high chair, kid dishes, gate. We were in the park so no fighting entrance traffic every day. Quiet and perfect for our large group-6 adults and one toddler. Highly recommend. "
"This is an architectural wonder set in a natural wonder! It would be helpful to remind guests that when they book their rooms, they should also make dining reservations."
"We had an amazing stay at Steve’s place! From the moment we booked, Steve was incredibly responsive and helpful in answering all our questions. He went above and beyond by offering complimentary early check-in and late check-out, which we really appreciated. We arrived late at night and had trouble finding the unit in the dark, but the onsite contact, Betty, was extremely kind and came out to help us navigate to the condo. The unit itself was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. My family was visiting the U.S. for the first time and said this was far more comfortable than a typical hotel stay. Free parking was a great bonus, and most trailheads and starting points in Yosemite were only about a 20-minute drive away. When we realized a few toiletries were missing, Steve and Betty handled it right away and left them at our door within an hour. We also had a small issue with a towel holder that ended up damaged, and Steve was very understanding about it.Overall, this was a perfect base for exploring Yosemite. We had a wonderful vacation, and I will absolutely make this my preferred place to stay for future trips. Highly recommend!"
