"We had a River View King room on the first floor. A key thing to know about this view is that the river is literally at your patio and it is loud rushing water - which we really liked. There is a solid door from your room out to the patio with a table and chairs and I found it to be lovely, sitting out there in the mornings with my coffee. The bathroom had an oversized jetted tub and dual shower heads, as well as pumps for shampoo and body wash (no bars of soap, no conditioner). You can opt for daily housekeeping. There is a gift shop, coffee machine, and small market off the lobby. There is a nice restaurant we enjoyed as well as a good pizza place in the same building. There are pools and hot tubs, a small fitness center and large gaming room. **The El Portal entrance to Yosemite NP is at the end of the hotel parking lot - it's another 10 minute drive to the Park Ranger kiosk where you pay to enter YNP. This is the ideal place to stay if you aren't staying inside the park - highly recommend!"
"Dinners were great, staff very helpful. Pool area is beautiful. Dining room ambience so-so. Would be nice if tent cabins had 120v, nice they had usb connection.
Property is just wonderful. Would highly recommend"
"Giving it 4 stars for the great location. The first two days were so foggy the visibility was less than 20 feet, which is really scary driving in the mountains. The rest of our stay was stunning! As for the cabin, it had the necessities. It could use some modernizing and newer furniture, but was fine. It was safe and gave our family a place to spend time together. Exactly as we expected. "
"This place was epic. The house was immaculate with that perfect cabin feel. Hot tub was clean and exactly what we needed for the evenings. The pool table was great. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed and then some. We came to get married and this place was the perfect place to start our new life together. We did our first look in the forest behind the house under a perfectly arched tree. Our pups loved it too!"
Inside Yosemite N.P. Gates!, the Lodgepole Room is Minutes From the Valley.
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved our stay at Peregrine Lodge! The Lodgepole room is wonderfully cozy and spotless with a smart and thoughtful use of space that made us feel right at home. Each morning, we appreciated the coffee setup and basket of snacks, which were equally welcome after long days of hiking. In the evenings, the beautiful stone corner fireplace created the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. There is also a patio overlooking the mountains—ideal for enjoying our meals and even savoring a surprise light snowstorm on the morning we checked out.The TV has RUKU for anything you would want to watch, but no worries if you can’t find what you’re looking for— there is quite a nice section of DVD movies in the common area or you can choose from some boardgames as well. The Starlink Wi-Fi is lightning fast and we were able to catch up on our messages, emails and such when our time exploring Yosemite was over each day. The location is fantastic, just inside the West Yosemite entrance within a short, scenic drive to the valley floor. Vonnie’s communication was exceptional—clear, detailed, and always prompt. She generously shared a wealth of knowledge about hikes, viewpoints, and current conditions in the park. As an experienced outdoorswoman, she truly knows Yosemite inside and out and offered invaluable advice that enhanced our trip immensely.Vonnie is a delightful host, and we couldn’t recommend Peregrine Lodge more highly. Thank you, Vonnie—we hope to return soon!"
