"Fran is a wonderful host and crammed so many helpful little touches into the Old Stables, from a full set of guides and pamphlets to local activities to a comprehensive welcome package of essentials such as milk, water and cereals. It's nice to find a place to stay that even has sauces and salt and pepper - much overlooked by other property owners. Was upgraded to a slightly bigger room. Only real downsides for me is there was no desk or chair to work at and was asked to check out half an hour earlier than the booking stated. I would return, but would also appreciate a veggie/vegan breakfast being offered. "

"Great hotel with boutique rooms. The staff were simply amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our room was huge and although a bit tired in places was spotlessly clean. We upgraded from continental breakfast to full English and omg, it was so good and a very large portion. I must also mention the coffee which was, and this is no exaggeration the best we have ever tasted, it was from ‘Forge’ coffee roasters in Sheffield if you are interested.
