Wonderful place to stay. There was an ant problem, which we are finding to be typical in each place we've stayed in California. Otherwise, this was a very clean and accommodating place to stay, close to the pier and family attractions.

While it may have been stylish, it wasn't comfortable and there were many issues. Piles of mail in the mailbox. Smoke alarm hanging from ceiling in primary bedroom when we arrived and began chirping. Towels, pillows and sheets stained. Some towels were the kind you see in garages or hospitals. Hair in both showers. No way to close window in primary bathroom while showering. No extension cords - had to move furniture in bedroom to plug in phone. RAT TRAP literally next to outdoor seating area which had ripped covers with the cushions coming out and a dirty rug under the furniture. Seats for 4, no outdoor dining area, yard was literally dirt with zero landscaping or decoration. Living room pretty but very uncomfortable for hanging out. When told there were ANT infestations in kitchen & bathrooms, host stated that was a "California problem" and to be expected. When told there was no soap for either shower, he told me I was wrong. He then tried to solve both problems by door-dashing me body wash and RAID at 930 at night, around same time the handyman showed up to fix the chirping smoke alarm. House advertised as "Minutes to Venice Beach" but no beach towels or coolers. Host said that would be beyond his duty to supply because house isn't near beach, even tho advertised as near it...I tried to explain that this wasn't up to standards or as advertised and Host just defended condition of house. This was an expensive and very disappointing mistake.
