This was the worst VRBO experience I’ve ever had. This property is nothing like the listing. This place feels like a poorly maintained, dirty, and cheap motel. It smells bad, it is poorly appointed (no towels, strange switches, squishy toilet seat), and the security is flimsy (easily pickable interior lock and a non-working lock on the sliding glass door). We didn’t even stay a single night out of fear for our safety—and disgust. I proceeded to have a months-long effort to get my money back, but the owners are unreasonable, stubborn, and difficult to communicate with. I did not get any money back, despite not even staying there. STAY AWAY!

Not chic motel vibe

We left after the first night and stayed with friends in Claremont. The place was not as described. Lobby is dimly lit and it’s like a motel rather than a house or apartment. The bathroom had no door, just a curtain which made it very awkward for me and my teen daughter. The hallway carpet and walls were dirty and stained, shower also has rusty stains. Overall I felt misled by the description.The host was unresponsive until the day of arrival as was mentioned at the time of booking. They contacted me in the afternoon of the arrival and told me to call Shawn who checked us in. The door had a keypad lock not a key lock. After we moved out and I told the host that we were leaving they just sent me a canned response asking how was my stay. The host kept sending me canned messages that were obviously setup in advance. It was a waste of money. I hope to warn others. The location is great and I wouldn’t be so upset if they were open about the conditions. I paid for a “chic” room and got a dingy motel experience. Very misleading.
