Modern 3-bedroom house in tranquil North Chicago near Great Lakes Navy Base

"Rented this property for my sons navy graduation, Base was only 6 minutes from the home. Tons of places to eat and shop no more then 15 minutes away. The house was super cute, very clean. we flew in at 10am and without even having to ask the host reached out and let us know it was ready for check in a few hours early which was great. left some packaged up congrats grad decor that hopefully didnt get thrown out and the next navy fam can use. "

"We arrived late and booked the room through Expedia to save some money. We got a king room with a kitchenette. That was great because we had frozen items in a cooler that needed to be placed in the freezer overnight. The bed in the room was very comfortable, including the pillows. I used the shower and noticed that a prior occupant had placed part of a false eyelash on the wall. This wasn't noticed by housekeepinh to remove it. I wouldn't have noticed it either, if I didn't use the shower. Otherwise the bathroom was clean. The chair next to the desk needs to be replaced cause the vinyl on the headrest and on the seat was peeling off and clearly noticeable as big patches were down to the cloth with bits on the floor. We didn't use the desk chair. The couch was nice, but could use a good cleaning of the cloth. There were visible stains. Otherwise the room looked newly remodeled as the walls were painted and floors looked clean and fresh. The breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety. There was fresh fruit, juices, waffles made to order, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, along with biscuits and gravy. Other than the tired desk chair, and a few stains, it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel. Possibly the other rooms have been remodeled completely with newer furniture. Also they should remove the older loveseat on the second floor next to the elevator. It looked like it was left over from b4 the renovation."

"We reserved a two bedroom two bath, kitchenette that would sleep 5 in total. Up from TN for our son’s Navy Boot Camp graduation. Very Clean rooms. No signage or discussion about linen exchange and none offered. (We didn’t ask, but made do). Shower / tub on one side did not drain properly and we had to stand in the built up water. The sofa had a dip in the middle, we didn’t pull it out for the bed use. Breakfast was probably a little too small scale for the # of guests they house. Food seemed to run out quickly and not enough seating. We did have the kitchenette and fixed some light meals on our own. Overall, we were not unhappy with the lodging and would choose them again. ALSO——-we sincerely appreciated the transportation service that allowed us gate access to the base for a reasonable round trip fare. Definitely 5* the transport service they contract with."
