"This was a lovely hotel. It was pricey but the location was absolutely amazing. It was very clean and had everything we needed for an overnight trip to Manhattan. Literally right next door to the Hudson Theatre so if you are seeing a show there it is perfect."

"I highly recommend people to stay at the St. James Hotel! If you’re looking for a basic amenity hotel room to crash at night and explore the city all day, THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU!! I traveled to nyc to be out and about all day and come back to the hotel late to sleep. I don’t want to stay at a chain hotel and pay hundreds of dollars for 20 million amenities that I’m not going to use. The staff at the hotel are incredibly nice and helpful from the minute you check in, during your stay, to when you check out. The building itself is old but I love the charm of it and the upkeep of the building is very well done! I didn’t ever feel like there were any gross, run down parts anywhere. The only 2 small downsides with my stay were that the wifi wasn’t good (but it could also be the tall buildings around and/or the age of the hotel) and the high pitch noise from the showers (the walls are thick and you can’t hear your neighbors but if anyone showers, you definitely hear it). But besides those two things, I will DEFINITELY be staying at the hotel if I’m ever back in the city and will be recommending it to anyone that I know who’s going to the city. It’s in such a good location with lots to see and do!"

"I was really impressed with The Renwick. It exceeded my expectations honestly. It was relatively reasonably priced and the room was larger than most NY hotel rooms, with a super comfortable king size bed. The free coffee in the morning was great. The staff were friendly. The location was convenient and walkable. I’d definitely stay again."

"Aura Hotel was conveniently located within a couple of min from Times Square. Bed was comfortable but room and bathroom tiny, typical of NYC, but had everything we needed. There wasn’t much room to put 2 large luggage due to space, so it was a bit of inconvenience, but not a deal breaker. Overall it was a good stay. Located about 2-4 min walk to Bryant Park and the subway. Close to 6th Avenue, St Patrick’s Cathedral, MOMA, Rockefeller Center, Radio City, Times Square"

"Nicely located just a few blocks from Grand Central. It was a nice hotel with great views and the staff was very nice and helpful. There is a $38 per day destination fee but you get $36 per day to spend at their cafe or store."

"There was no bar, no free breakfast. Clean enough room. The only good thing about the hptel was the location, and the wonderful and social staff at desk downstairs. There no phone in the room so if theres any issues u ahve to go downstairs...while we stayed we had a plumbing problem, no wifi for a few days, and only 1 working lift for a few days. Rooms look nicer tan the pics. Also we were on level 17 so we cohld hear all noise from.penthouse bar upstairs. Terribly noisy"
