The apartment was very good, clean and will presented The only problem about our stay is the lack of information regarding the location, it was located somewhere else than it was advertised, this hindered our plan and daily commute seriously. The address should be the same as advertised so people can plan everything ahead.

Property is clean and quiet where our unit is located, but it has garbage disposal not working. The window blinds are broken also. They don't offer complimentary shampoo. The staff is friendly however.

Technology challenges.
One needs to read fine print. Address (1 Benjamin, London) has nothing to do with the apartments. Check in is other side of town. There was no light in elevator. WiFi didn’t work. And remote for TV needed a new battery. I emailed back and forth - company was responsive... TV fixed same day. Internet took two days to resolve and elevator lights never fixed. The apt was clean and comfortable, but the tech was a problem.

TERRIBLE experience . will never book this again. So this is a group of apartments. When you book you do not get the location they advertise, when you phone them to tell them what time you are going to book in, they tell you you are staying elsewhere (in the vicinity and not the same as photos) . You do not stay in a 4* apartment. Worse still they treat you like you should know this for the price. Then you have to travel 30 mins on the tube to get the key at aldgate east underground and then 30 mins back. They are not sympathetic and despite getting hotels.com involved they do not resolve. Total mis sale. check the other reviews I wish I had. I am not the only one that has had this happen. this is what I got instead. http://www.apartmentsapart.com/europe/uk/london/apartments/detail/77903 . split level apartment so bed and lounge on one floor and another bedroom on another floor. dishwasher was broken, no washing cloth provided, no shampoo or shower wash, this is run to the bare bones, damaged taps, no queen size beds, in fact the duvet was two singles duvets.

This property was a total bait and switch. When I arrived, the apartment was nothing like what was pictured, and there was no heat, hot water, or wifi. The apartment was full of shoddily constructed furniture and still had workers gloves lying around on the kitchen counter when I arrived. The customer service was terrible and they essentially lied to Expedia when I tried to get a refund about the steps they tried to take to make my stay better. I wouldn't wish a stay here on my worst enemies.

A central base but don't expect a sound sleep
Plus points: Very central (one tube stop from Kings cross then a 10 minute walk). The apartment was well appointed, clean and homely. Could comfortably fit 5 people. Cheap for a central London stay. Negatives: it's located right on a busy road which means you can hear traffic noise all night, there is no lull, in the second night I bought ear plugs and could still hear the traffic, sirens and people talking as they passed by at 3am. There were ants in the bathroom. The hallways of the apartment stank of smoke, dust and damp. Having no option of an early check in if you arrive early in London. In summary, if you could sleep through and earthquake and looking for a central base where you could cook your own meals this is perfect for you. If you are looking to treat yourself and want a relaxed stay, it's not.

Dirty, Dangerous and Dismal.
Vomit and empty beer bottles at the street level entry led on to NO lighting over the three flights of stairs (had to buy a torch!). The apartment is on the top floor over the very noisy Kings Cross Street with traffic and drunks giving a local atmosphere to the living area . TV was unless because of the inside antennae and traffic noise and the information about router logon was useless The rooms have been painted white even over the rotten wooden frames, power points and anything else that got in the way. Furniture was uncomfortable and cheap, shelves are lose and some dangerously placed with the total effect is one of a quick and cheap refurbishing.

Check in not at the Apartment!
The apartment was very clean, very modern and large enough for a family of 5. The only downside was having to get a tube to the checkin office which was 1 stop away from St Pancras in Farringdon. I wasn't told this when I booked! Also the directions to the apartment weren't the best and traipsing round with luggage and 3 kids were a farce but if I'd have known it wouldn't have been so bad!!! We could store our luggage at the checkin office which was convenient but more information about getting the keys would have been considerate! I would book again it be prepared to locate the checkin office and then locate the apartment first!!!

Good Apartment, Good Location
Great apartment, good size, and location is great for going out at night or visiting London's cultural sights. The outside of the apartment and the stairs leading to it may appear old/run down but the apartment itself is nicely decorated, comfortable, and modern once through its door. Only slight problem is that the TV was fixed to the wall with the couch off to the side (due to the room dimensions)so had to do some furniture rearranging to make the TV viewable from the couch. Overall I would have no problem recommending the apartment I stayed in.

Not at all what we expected!
The apartment was 15 min away from the location stated on the website, and it wasn't a very nice walk in the dark and through the rain. Our major issue was the lack of heat. Although we did turn on the thermostat to the max, the heat level stayed the same- totally unacceptable during winter. The dish washer was not working and the door was left hanging there so we had to remove it out of our way, otherwise we would have tripped on it every time we had used the kitchen sink. On top of it all, the apartment had way too much furniture, and it looked more like a storage; certainly not like any of the advertised pictures. Suffice to say, we will not go back, and we do not recommend it to other travelers.

False Advertisement
I booked the hotel after seeing the positive reviews on this site, however when I reached the booking office they sent me over to another area, Not King's Cross (as specified in the description). The apartment was in another area about 15 minutes away by taxi and up 3 flights of narrow stairs in the most tiniest apartment you can imagine. I had two elderly parents with me and the climb up to the apartment was painful enough. The only reason I booked with Tulip because of the facilities they offered, which included a lift, a spacious room, and kitchen enough to cook. When I called the booking office, they made it seem that they were doing me a favor to upgrade me and went back and forth for 3 hours wasting my time. My time in London was limited, and I spent a good portion of the afternoon arguing on why I should I receive the apartment I booked for. Expedia facilitated the conversations but I was disappointed with the customer service overall and would NOT suggest this for anyone else in the future.

Apartment a long way from the actual key collection. Room very worn. Carpet threadbare. Walls scratched and in need of a paint. Two single duvets for a single bed. Shower screen leaked. No toiletries other than a bar of soap.

The Apartments is located in Camden Area. Which is not a nice area tonlive in. The hotel has rats in the room. At keast 2. Once you have rata, it is difficukt to feel confortable.

Our family of five stay there. There's plenty of room, the kitchen was loaded. Very very nice. And it was located in a nice suburban neighborhood with a great pub down the street

No internet !!
The internet did not work at this apartment and when called to fix it, it was not fixed. The toilet seat did not work and the light in the hallway did not work. We chose this place based on its closeness to kings cross and the actual apartment was not in this address. They lied on the location of the apartment thus false advertising. It was a horrible experience and I do not recommend it to anyone visiting London. The office staff were rude, impolite and not professional. False advertising is not okay showing that this place is untrustworthy and the worst place to stay.

Was in london for business. The apartment was very convenient for the overground. The apartment its self however, was noisy, tired and too warm. I was unable to turn some if the radiators down as they were broken. The people above me were noisy and inconsiderate of those around them. I contacted the office who were reluctant to do anything.

Eeek! Not what I expected...
I will be writing to Expedia to request a refund as this wasn't at ALL what was advertised. In fact, the taxi-man drove around and around because NO WHERE was it indicated "Tulip Apartments", it was just a random building that matched the address as we stopped and went in to ask. 1. The location was MUCH further than the description given by the "hotel". The guy in the office was nice enough to move us to one of their properties that was closer to my conference location and more in line with what we had expected although still twice as far as advertised. We had to then walk about 15 minutes with 4 suitcases to the new location. (not a big deal but incredibly frustrating when you come off an international flight exhausted and looking forward to a hot shower and relaxing) 2. The heating system wasn't working AT ALL- we had to use small space heaters in the bedrooms and bring them to the common areas when we were there- wherever we went we had to move them along to stay warm- cold and rainy in November. 3. It wasn't at all what was pictured. Had to lug heavy suitcases up 2 flights of very narrow stairs. 4. The small entrance area was dirty (very dirty, not just dusty)...it looked like people had just thrown stuff over the stairs- junk mail, feathers(?!? odd but true), etc... stains everywhere on the carpet. 5. The hot water wasn't working properly- had to spend 15 minutes messing with it to get luke warm water. I have been a loyal Expedia customer...very disappointed. :(

It's an OK apartment for 1,5 star. Pictures shown definitely don't meet reality: - Mouldy wall. - Balcony door can be opened for max 2 cm. - Noisy: kitchen/living room is next to a main road, bedroom is 30 meter from overground railway (Caledonia Road apartment) - Floor full of hairs of prior guests. - Heating temperature_ max 19.5 Celsius in the bedroom. - The nearby streets are depressing. Definitely not 4 star-apartment as advertised. Maximum 1,5 stars.

Overall we were satisfied however there a few things which I like to point out. First of all we were taken by surprise when the receptionist told us that we had to catch the train to actually arrive to our apartment. No where during the booking process were we informed about this eventuality and after a day full of travelling the last thing you need to here when you think you have arrived to your destination is that you have to catch a train to actually get there and it was rather uncomfortable for us to travel with all the luggage especially since we were quite a large group.

I booked this apartment at a reasonable price. The location was handy for the tube although the surroundings are not very desirable, although if you just want to hit a bar and listen to line music perfect for the line traveller. The apartment was very spacious and part of building houses families going about there every day lives, the only real downside was that the apartment was a little tired and felt grubby, it really needs money spending on it, especially the broken floors. I had to make a blackout blind from a bed sheet to allow me to sleep as the blinds are ill fitting and the light will stream in very early, the bedrooms are also situated to the front of the building looking onto the Main Street, which is very noisy. That said, the apartment is fit for purpose and is a good base for those wanting to enjoy the nightlife of Camden and just a short trip into the centre of London, just don't expect hotel standards of cleanliness and functionality.

great apartment, not great location
The apartment was big, modern, well equipped, clean and comfy. Everything i wanted and for a very reasonable price. The downsides however were that we had to get a train from the apartment office to the actual apartment and some of the neighbours were very noisy (we're talking arguing/shouting for over an hour!). That said, i had a lovely stay. There were shops nearby to stock up on food and 2 stations nearby to get into central london so not complaining. I'd return.

Nice apartment close to Camden Town
My first stay in London and I needed to be close to Camden Marked. I was a little bit nervous about the ground apartment, but it was a lovely and very nice place with a huge kitchen areal and two big bedrooms. It was a bit noisy in the living room because of the noise from the street "over us" and the Pub neighbor, but nice and quiet in the two bedrooms. I slept like a baby. there were also a nice closed yard and doors in the bedrooms, so you could stay outside in your own backyard if wanted. 100 B Camden Road miss you !!!

Don't be fooled
I booked this hotel as we wanted to be in Camden town. The description clearly states it's all about the location with this apartment. It raves about Camden and the location and all it has to offer. We were majorly disappointed to then find out that the above address is just a booking office and the apartments are scattered at different locations around London. We were not offered a more central apartment nor were our concerns addressed by the staff in the booking office when I presented my booking confirmation with tulip apartments clearly listed as the hotel. We then had to drag 4 cases a10minute walk to an overground station get on train then walk again to find our apartment located on Caledonia road on the outskirts of islington. We were told 2 doubled beds in the description but only one and a sofa bed. Overall the apartment was clean, amenities good but it was over heated. The only source off fresh air came from a window in the lounge and we had to request a key for a door in the bedroom which didn't open. Great place to stay if you don't want to be in Camden. I will be following this up with a formal complaint directly to the company.

Careful of Location
These apartments were not at the location provided. The office for key collection was not labelled at Tulip Apartments so I just had to guess which business it was. Handed the keys and told that the apartments were 1.3 miles away on Caledonian Road. Apartment itself was large , clean and well provisioned with min supermarket close by. Light cooking triggered the smoke alarm which was an iritation, as were the neighbours who go up at 5am. Poor sound insulation meant that I was awake too. Not terrible but there is better out there at the same price so very unlikely to use again.
