The beds were very old and squeaky. The hotel was very loud. Every time another room flushed a toilet it would make a loud noise throughout the building. Also, a constant drop in the shower
Staff were nice

Sehr einfaches Hotel mit guter Lage. Direkte U-Bahnverbindung nach Heathrow. 3 U-Bahnhaltestellen in Laufweite, so dass man ohne Umsteigen in viele Ecken Londons gelangt. Zimmer recht einfach, kleines Bad. Aber für ein paar Tage Städtetrip okay.

You get what you pay for
We came for a weekend away. First impressions were good but then we found a toe nail in the bed. The duvet sheet was inside out and far too big for the duvet. Bathroom was good untill you had a shower and it flooded the bathroom with condensation. Plugs didn’t work. Room lay out was strange. And then on checkout day someone came and rudely banged on the door half hour before check out which wasn’t appreciated at all. Breakfast was very limited but was okay for what we paid I guess.
The room is dirty, old & smoking smell . The TV is no signal but no one fixed it. The toilet is dirty , without a stand or hook up a towel & clothes. The shower terribly low pressure even for hand wash. We request to change room but no spare for change. We never try all the “SABA” group hotel.
Briiliant as always. Myself and my wife stayed at the Hellinic a couple of years ago, thats why we came back. I stayed in the Hellinic quite a few times back in the late eighties and early nineties when i played for a Rugby team and we came down to London to watch the Challenge cup final at Wembley. The hotel is very easy to get to places on the tube.
Receptionist was very friendly and helpful, so couldn't fault the service.
Booked a triple room with double and single beds, but we're given a quad room with double and two singles, totally fine. Basement room, no view but an external window that let in a decent amount of light.
Room did not have a remote for the TV, nor did it have a kettle, despite there being tea and coffee etc in the room.
Belinen and towels were all very clean. Net curtain held up with tape in the window. Shower door seal broken and hanging off. Shower hanging off the wall, not attached safely. Drip marks of something looking like shampoo down the wall opposite the toilet (not within the shower cubicle), not cleaned off.
No hand-wash in the bathroom, particularly important during covid time.

I booked this hotel for a 15 night-say recently. I can say it is very affordable as I only GBP35 per night (booking online) so this is the main reason I chose it, cost and location. Also, it looked reasonably well in the hotels.com app photos. However, I have now some mixed reviews with the aim to inform future guests and to suggest some improvement to the management of the hotel. First impression: I booked a hotel with breakfast included, however upon check in I was told that the kitchen was closed, no solution provided at all. I asked them then why they sell rates inclusive of breakfast if they know that the kitchen is closed. I was told they didn’t why hotels.com sell these types of offer. I suggested to make a correction with hotels.com so that does not happen in the future to other guests. After the 8th night stay, they opened the kitchen and I was able to get breakfast for the remaining of my stay. I stay in room 138, twin. The room is spacious enough and good window view. However, it had a strong mould smell that wouldn’t go even if I left the windows open all day. I had to buy some incense to aromatise. When I reported it to the reception, I was offered another room in another building, which I went to inspect, to find that the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned so I just declined it. Room 138: The toilet has many black marks that make the toilet looks as if it was dirty, (even though it wasn’t) I think the hotel should invest and buy a new toilet for that room as it does
To be honest I was a little scared to stay here. When I first booked this hotel I didn’t see all the negative reviews. When I checked them again two days before our trip, all I saw were negative reviews. I booked 2 family rooms (3 beds in each) 4 in one room and 3 in another. I booked for the Hellenic & was put in the Hellenic. There is about 7 other Saba companies all in the same block. They are row houses converted into hotels. Our room was on the first floor facing the street. The room was warm our first night so we opened the windows, which was very noisy ( busy street & fire department right down the road) but then we figured out that the radiator was on & turned it off, problem solved. When we would leave for the day we would open all the windows to keep it cool when we got back, plus I had two stinky teenagers in the room with us. The room was very clean, new paint. The bathroom was small but clean. We had a double bed and two twin beds. The double bed was very hard. The twin beds were very soft. My in laws were downstairs, same set up but a larger bathroom & a towel warmer. The staff was very accommodating, even helped my mother in law take her suitcase down the narrow stairs. There is no lobby so they opened the breakfast room so we could play cards. There is a Costa coffee across the street & a Tesco’s down the alley from that but I would recommend Gails for coffee and pastries. Yes it was small but, I didn’t come to London to stay in the hotel.
I really regret staying here.
Had to lug my suitcases up three flights of narrow stairs.
No lights at the top of the staircase, which was creepy in the evening.
Room had a strong odor (like burning plastic) throughout our stay.
There was a big round hole in the wall.
Beds were cheap, flimsy and uncomfortable.
