Position of the hotel is pretty good, 16 minutes by tube to Westminster. Rooms were clean, staff very very friendly and ready to help with everything. Breakfast freshly prepared for everyone by his wish.

You get what you pay for!
Was a cheap, quick night out in London. £50 is cheap, hotel was what you'd expect for that. Bedroom was clean but dated. Didn't check we were getting an en-suite and we didn't! Not disappointed as I am realistic when I spend my money in what I'm getting for it.

It was very near the underground and not difficult to find even in the dark. Zakina went out of her way to help. Breakfast was excellent. Tea and coffee making facilities in the guest kitchen made up for up for the lack of a room kettle. They wanted photo ID on check in but hadn't asked for it. By chance i had my passport in a UK hotel. Reception was a cupboard but they will be moving and upgrading it later. i had the best room and only ensuite. 4-5 sets of stairs were a lot to climb, but Zakina checked up on me. A bedside lamp would have helped. I like it.

Decent place for the Area and Price
Pretty decent place, location is good near a tube stop, shops and main road to hyde park, nice area too, staff were friendly and the breakfast was decent. Rooms spacious and clean too. Only criticism is the check in time is 12pm but the room wasn't ready for me by then? So just left my bag and went out again, don't know why they advertise it like that they should just say 2pm-3pm when they have managed to get all the rooms ready. I had to swap rooms and unfortunately the wi-fi signal didn't work as well on the top floor as it did on the bottom, and the hot water in the shower didn't come on as quick on that floor as the bottom one too But if you want somewhere to stay that is in the £60-70 a night price range for a night or two's stay in London and you aren't that bothered by the issues raised in this review you could stay at far worse places for more money per night in less decent areas of London!

Room had bed bugs that I still have bite marks. The showers were not hot water, not even warm water. Neighborhood is noisy and disrespectful, yelling on street all night.

This hotel was so welcoming. It’s a bit dated but that just adds quirkiness, the service was fantastic really friend and informative. Great location we really enjoyed our stay.

A Convenient Place to stay
It was a good place to stay for us for 2 nights. It was just a few minutes walk to Bayswater station and Queensway Station and so it was convenient for my family to move around in London. The English breakfast provided was good. However, I think the word Hotel is misleading. It’s more like a guest house and there’s no en-suite but shared bathroom.

Wonderful Place!

This was such a lovely stay! You definitely get what you pay for but it is what you make it. My friends and I loved the free breakfast every morning - saved us a lot of money. The rooms were clean and cosy. The hotel is in the best location! Right next to the bus stop and a 3 minute walk to the underground train and next to shops and restaurants. The street is beautiful right in the heart of English infrastructure and very close to the park and Kensington Palace. Definitely worth it. Thank you to the staff.

If you dont want to ruin your holidays in London then do not stay here. Bathroom is shared and no cold water to adjust for shower you will have only hot water to burn your skin. Inside the room, no hot water. Staffs is terrible without service mind. The worst part, alot of blood bugs in the room. The best thing here is about location.

perfect base for a cheap London stop over
basic hotel perfectly fine for a short stay rooms and beds were clean and comfortable breakfast included was nice the children liked it. staff were very polite bathroom was clean as were the toilets Wifi was fast and had a strong signal.

You get what you pay for...
As the hotel was rated a 2* we were not expecting a hotel with all of the extras, and so it met all of our expectations. The rooms are fine if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep but improvements could be made as fixtures and fittings are tired and working only on occasion. Breakfast was better than expected (full English) and the staff were very friendly. This is a low cost accommodation but good value for money due to its locality.

Horrible dirty place with no lightbulbs!
Basically an extremely dirty place with no lighting, seem to have problem with providing light bulbs or toilet roll for a shared toilet which was in complete darkness - we had to go out and buy a torch just to visit the toilet - outrageous conditions. London is not in a third world country but this place was a complete pigsty. Also do not believe that you will get a hairdryer as stated on Hotels.com, this is a lie, Apparently they think it is acceptable to go around scrounging for one as they have to be "shared"! I would not wish this hell hole on my worst enemy - it really is that bad. We also found we had brown water coming from the tap in our sink, so we had to go out and buy a bottle of water to rinse our teeth while brushing them - that is a first for us in the U.K. Normally you only have to do this in very poor countries in the third world where the sanitation is unfit for habituation and we travel a lot. The filth in this place but about the worst we have ever seen!

Basic convenience
This is a good venue for a short stay, good breakfast, friendly staff. Very basic reception but so convenient for Kensington Gardens and the West End. My room had the biggest hotel safe I had ever seen! Hot drinks available all day from the kitchen.

This is a very cheap hotel, so my review is based on that. Check in was no problem and i received a call to confirm. We were shown around on arrival, kitchen, common room, shared facilities, etc. The linen and towels were fresh and clean. The room was large enough with a large wardrobe. Included breakfast was enough to get you a good start inn the morning and the instant coffee was decent. Shared toilet was new and clean. Shower was clean but pretty grim and in need of updating, but never had to queue. The hotel is very tired looking with paint peeling everywhere , but for the price who cares? Fantastic location for tube stations, cycles and waking. The area felt safe with bars, restaurants and shops right round the corner.

A very tired looking hotel desperately in need of refurbishment, but room was clean. No en-suites, so be aware of that. Very basic breakfast. Very cheap and excellent location with two tube stations within just a few minutes walk.

Horrendously bad
This hotel ruined our trip to London. It was dirty to the point we didn't want to risk breakfast with our two children, it has mouse bait boxes in the room, the skirting board was rotten and walls pealing, the beds were old and worn (nice clean bedding though) the shower was awful and seemingly no not water. No tv in the rooms as claimed by the advert and the stairs down to the check in and breakfast area were dangerous.

Adequate short-term
Was perfectly adequate for the purpose it served. Needed to get the Eurostar early in the morning but didn’t want to spend too much money on a hotel before going on holiday. Also does rooms for 3 which isn’t all that easy to find. Wouldn’t stay for more than one night.

Youth Hostel in an up market area
No lift to the fourth floor.Basic double room with a comfortable bed. Shared toilet and two showers between two floors. Poor breakfast of bacon, beans and egg which needs to improve a lot for the price. This appears to be a youth hostel type of B & B and should be advertised as such and then customers will know what to expect.

On a scale of 1 to 10 .I will rate it minus 40.awf
Awful.not even in colonial Congo era. The rooms are actually delapidating. When got into the hotel, I actually thought no one lives or works there. At the entrance are piles of bags containing bedsheets. It looked more like a store than a hotel.

Disappointing stay
I didn’t realise there were check in restrictions so turned up late but was an easy check in. Room had no tv and the wallpaper was hanging off. The carpet was disgusting. The bed was smaller than a single bed and was a struggle to sleep on.

Good location, but you get what you pay for.
Dean Court is in a very convenient spot, clean and the staff are lovely. They are currently in the process of renovations so some of the shared bathrooms are newly done. A cooked breakfast was included which was more than we expected. The only warning that we would give is those with back issues may struggle. The beds are small and not overly comfortable. Overall, it suited our needs but if you like your creature comforts, this may not be for you.
