Amazing 4 BR Oceanfront Home w Pool. Dog Friendly, Spectacular Views

"We had a great week with family. My only complaint was that for a house that is made for 11 people the kitchen and the refrigerator are WAY TOO SMALL....only about 1 person can comfortably be in that kitchen at one time - and if you're trying to cook/feed 11 people it becomes overwhelming in a kitchen that size. It would have been nice to also have a larger sitting area - and SOMEWHERE else to go (besides a bedroom) to get away and have some quiet time. The house was very clean and as advertised (I guess really good photography made things look a little bigger to me). The host were very responsive - for example - the description said the property had a crock pot and we looked over the entire kitchen - couldn't find one - messaged host and within an hour a crock pot arrived!! The location of the house couldn't be beat - oceanfront with a pool was beautiful! Like I said - we had a good week! I was just surprised at the size of kitchen and family room to host that many people! If you book - just be mindful. But all in all a wonderful week full of memories and fun - would definitely rent the house again with FEWER PEOPLE :-) The back porch was where we spent most of our time - watched many evening storms and shared many stories!"

"This home is beautiful and is in a prime location on Oak Island. The views of the intercostal & ocean are stunning. The owner was very easy to communicate with & very responsive as was the property manager. We had some minor things pop up early on which were quickly resolved by the property manager. Overall, our family enjoyed this beautiful home & we were able to make some wonderful memories here."

"The house was perfectly located, having a golf cart was a huge perk. We love being close to both the sound and ocean and the home has great views of both. The house was well stocked with everything a family needs which made packing and planning seamless! We enjoyed the pool especially and the outdoor area. Thanks for a stellar stay in OKi!"

"Beautifully decorated home right on the beach. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying the beach and taking in the views. Heather is a wonderful host and has thought of everything from beach chairs and umbrellas to providing nice towels, foil, plastic wrap and plastic ziplocks. The beach was peaceful, full of shells and we even saw some dolphins. It was a lovely few days."

"The Ruff tide house did not disappoint once again! It was convenient to the beach especially with the complimentary golfCart which made it easy peasy! The home with private pool made home pool days both fun and relaxing. They provide an array of pool floats etc that add to the fun. They also have beach chairs you can take to/from beach so you don’t have to haul yours from home. The home set up was perfect for our family’s needs! Loved the grill access and fire pit! Will gladly return again and again!"

"We absolutely loved our stay! Even though we had rain 6 out of our 7 days, we still had the most glorious time. That says everything about how special this home and location are!The house was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and easily the nicest vacation home we’ve ever stayed in. And the beach was breathtaking—truly one of the best we’ve ever experienced. We made so many wonderful memories here, and the weather certainly didn’t stop us from enjoying every minute.We loved it so much that we’re already going back next year! We can’t wait to return to this beautiful home and our favorite beach. "

"Great little place on the beachfront! It has lots of charm and character. It's one of the older houses in Holden, which we preferred. If you're not expecting luxury finishes/fixtures, you can score a great deal on this property. It's obvious from the listing, that you don't have an ocean view, because it's not built on stilts (so book elsewhere if that's going to affect your trip). You can clearly hear the ocean, and we could see slivers of it over the dunes, just standing on the back patio. It is a small place, which we loved, so we didn't have to rent a 4 bedroom place for just the two of us. We also loved that we could bring our dog along without outrageous pet fees added on. My only unmet (and very minor) expectation, was that we couldn't use the gate to the beach, or the back patio stairs. Both are grown over with vegetation that will scratch you in the face and catch your clothing. We could easily step over the fence to get around this, but it seems an easy fix to just cut some of the branches away. Otherwise, the beach access was super close and convenient, and besides the occassional car doors or people talking, it was relatively quiet at this public access point. We did see occassional police monitoring the area, even at night. This East end of Holden Beach is so much easier to get in and out of than the West end. AC was nice and cool inside, and the outdoor shower was so nice to rinse off all the beach sand! We hope to return soon!"

"This property was very clean and had great access to the beach. The owners provided beach chairs, beach wagons and a beach umbrella which were so helpful!! We loved sitting on the front porch in the evening and listening to the waves. Shopping was close by and easily accessible. The things that could be improved upon were providing more storage for groceries in the kitchen, all cabinets were full of other people’s food or everyday items. The closets had no hangers, so we couldn’t hang any clothes, and drawer space was extremely limited. The sheets and comforters were provided, but we had to make all the beds on arrival, which wasn’t fun after a very long drive to get there. This is not something we have had to do at other VRBO. The owners were very responsive and a pleasure to deal with!!"
