"It was fine ocverall"

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay in Puerto Vallarta and can’t say enough good things about this resort. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and has that relaxed, upscale feel you want on vacation. Great adults-only resort with a slightly older clientele but still very fun. We visited in mid-April 2026 and the weather was perfect, sitting between 26–30°C every day with plenty of sunshine which was ideal for pool and beach time. The staff really stood out. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. They’re also constantly cleaning, so the resort always looked amazing. The nightly shows were another highlight; professional, entertaining, and something we looked forward to each evening. Michael Jackson show? Awesome. One thing we really appreciated was the availability of lounge chairs around the pool. No early-morning rush or saving spots, there were always plenty. Having “competed” for chairs at other resorts, this was a BIG plus. And the food? Excellent. The buffet quality was so good that we didn’t even bother with the specialty restaurants during our 9-day stay. The beach was great for walking, and we always felt safe. Our only minor complaint was the beds which are too soft and dipped in the middle but that’s small compared to everything else done so well. Just be aware that ALL mattresses in the hotel are the same so it wasn't just 'our room'. Highly recommend."

"Gracias a Hilda por todo la ayuda a la buffet! The hotel was great, except the food could use some work. My wife is Gluten Free and Vegetarian and the buffet was a little difficult to find food which wasn’t mixed with her allergens. But the staff, the room, the pool, the drinks, and everything else were great! Also shoutout to Lalo at the beach- he was very helpful for our surfing adventures."

"I decided to take a last minute solo vacation and was looking for a quiet relaxing all inclusive and this did not disappoint! I will definitely be coming back to this property. All of the staff were super friendly and the food was great! The little pools throughout the property and the lazy river was my favourite. Can wait to return"

"This resort is a total gem. Beautiful Ocean Front view, hardworking and friendly staff from housekeeping, dining, pool side and front desk. It was our first time to stay at Melia for a family vacation (there were 23 of us in total from 3 years old to 83 years of age, and this place never disappoint! We would like to give a shout out and express my gratitude to Hector from guest services for his exceptional customer service. He was so accommodating, friendly and very respectful. We had a bit of issue in our room when we checked in however, Hector looked after it within minutes. The food at the buffet was very good as they have a huge variety everyday. The one that stood out was our sunset dinner at the Fish House on our last day since they were able to accommodate 23 people. The food was topnotch, the view was amazing and our servers were excellent. Melia totally exceeded our expectations. It was truly a memorable family vacation. We are already planning to go back, hopefully, by next year!"

"This was our third visit to this property, and although we still enjoyed the location, the beautiful grounds, and found the staff very helpful and accommodating, the quality and quantity of entertainment at this hotel has declined and the rooms are not as well maintained. It was very noisy during our visit. The buffet dining areas were very loud, with heavy chairs scraping across the floors, crying children, and a lot of slamming hotel room doors. This resort will appeal to those travelling with children or hosting a wedding. For those looking for a quiet, relaxing stay, with quality entertainment, look elsewhere."
