"I do not recommend this hotel. Cons: - Not a good value (I paid $120 a night) - No proper maintenance is done. For our room, the shower head was held by a wire, the circuit breaker tripped multiple times, including at night, the outer window was broken, and the wall was poorly patched... - The online lobby picture looks nothing like the actual sad lobby. Pros: - Clean - Easy parking, central to the hikes we wanted to do. For $20 more elsewhere, you can get a nice place with a view, with breakfast and dinner included (we learned too late)."

"Our stay was excellent until literally the last moment. Check out was 11am. We left at 930am to grab a coffee and visit a couple of local shops. Returned back to the room at 10:53am and the cleaning lady was in our room with the door wide open. Our belongings were in the room and about 10 people who were in the parking lot obviously going into their rooms were right at our door. Initially, we had wanted to go back in and freshen up, grab our things and check out. I questioned the young lady and she said “I hope you’re not mad”. Uh really?? Grabbing our things and leaving without getting to freshen up and check any we may have in the room, we inadvertently left food in the fridge that we had definitely wanted to take with us. I will rethink my decision to stay here again. "

"The couple running the place are incredibly friendly. I was traveling with my mother and needed to make sure she had easy access to the room. They reserved the most accessible room for us. "

"The Cozy Mountain Cabin was the perfect spot to stay within a short drive of downtown Black Mountain. It was well-appointed with great outdoor space to enjoy and all the comforts of home. We enjoyed our stay!"
