The Edwards House is small but executive style. PETS ARE WELCOME. Back yard is fenced. Everything inside is new. There's a tiled shower, a butcher block bar, king size memory foam bed. Rt 66 is close by. It has 100 meg wireless internet. There's NO CABLE TV and local stations don't come in on the tv. It is a perfect place to relax or do business while on the road. There is digital door access. We'll give you the code, and wont bother you. Find all of our Litchfield houses on FB: @softstays. There is a ring camera on the porch.

Family Visit

It was exactly as the pictures showed and the host was so quick to respond to any questions. Large backyard for our fur baby and fenced in. The neighborhood was quiet. Local restaurants were really good. Looking forward to our next stay.

dog friendly lodging

The house is the perfect size for two adults and a dog. The fenced-in yard was a huge bonus. Neighborhood was quiet, close to what we needed. The open concept of the house helped us feel more connected instead of one cooking in one room and the other elsewhere. Bed was super comfortable. Shower was clean and great to use. Communication with owner/host was easy. Would stay again if we came back to the area.

Cozy and Comfortable

I enjoyed staying a night at this property in a friendly peaceful family neighborhood in Litchfield. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, and as evidenced in the house they put a lot of effort into making it a nice place for guests to stay, it’s perfect for a single or a couple, the interior was updated throughout, they selected furniture and fixtures that fit appropriately in the spaces so although it’s a smaller home, it didn’t feel super cramped, and created an environment that was inviting, it was tidy, uncluttered, the fenced backyard was roomy and perfect to let a dog out for a potty break. There were some kitchen ingredients available if a guest wanted to cook a meal, A supply of cold bottled water in the fridge as well as frosty beer mugs in the freezer. BYOB😊 Adjustable A/C. The bed was comfortable. Parking was right in the driveway close to the front door which is handy for unloading a vehicle. I would happily stay there again during my travels!

Fenced Yard Great for Dogs

I stayed here with two large dogs while traveling daily to Springfield for an agility competition. The backyard is large and has a chain link fence. No fancy landscaping or anything that dogs could mess up, haha! There is a dog next door behind a stockade fence -- never saw it, just heard it a few times. It was not a problem for my dogs. House is perfect for one or two people. Cute and comfy. Tons of utensils and cookware in the kitchen, and condiments and water in the fridge, as well as frosty mugs in the freezer. Lots of nice touches for weary travelers. Very close to I-55 and all the usual food options. Neighborhood was quiet and friendly with lots of people outside grilling and riding bikes in the evening. Would book this again.

Check in was easy and found cute little house just as described in the VRBO app. Host always responded quickly with helpful info. Perfect place for my husband. Bed was very comfortable. There is a great Rt 66 museum in Litchfield. Host also recommended KismetCoffee. Don’t leave Litchfield without going there. Coffee is perfect, lots of heavenly pastries and the best food we had for lunch. The Hot Honey pancetta flat bread…..I could have ate two it was so good. So don’t over. Highly recommend the Edward Street house in Litchfield, Illinois.

Convenient and comfortable

The house has a clean, trendy decor with all the convenience of home. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was. stocked with coffee, condiments and even some new boxes of cereal, cans of soup, etc. While the square footage is not significant it looks and feels much larger. The owner is incredibly hospitable and the town has a lot to offer. Would definitely stay here again.
