Good location, secure parking, friendly bar

Nice clean room, fairly spacious. Great view of planes landing. Friendly reception. It was good to have on-site parking but beware that the parking garage is very tight and is extra to the room booking. Air con was okay but not really cool - okay for October but might be a problem in the summer. Didn't get around to trying out the pool or restaurant but the bar was lovely. 5 min walk to metro and post office. Lots of nearby restaurants. We'd definitely stay here again.

My only problem was the AC — the temperature was a bit warm, which made me feel uncomfortable due to the hot weather. Apart from that, I really enjoyed my stay. Lovely ambiance, blackout curtains, and no noise in the hallway. The pool was the highlight, but the area around it was a bit messy — a quick tidy-up would make it perfect. The staff were very nice!

The rooftop pool was great, warm even though end of april,found it was heated, had to myself each time I used it.. About 5 hotels on that block, but block over was metro, underground grocery store and more restaurants.

Ideal for airport

Several restaurants nearby (next street, when you walk across the bridge) Had to change from our first room because of the smell in the while space when arriving back from evening meal. Reception handled this very smoothly - I just had to go down to swap keys. Love the comfortable chair. Would be better to have two! Swimming pool pleasant and with the roof cover open was easy to access fresh air. Disappointing “restaurant” - the area we thought was a restaurant is only used for breakfasts. Any other food is served in a space off the foyer with only a few tables, the others either high or low coffee style tables. No call button at the bar to alert staff you are waiting. This is a good hotel for short stay with quick journey to the airport.

Good for a few quick nights

Staff were absolutely incredible and very helpful. I stayed here twice (once through a tour booking and once through a personal booking). Was on the 8th floor - slept well (for the most part - minus Friday night dance music down the street), on the second floor my next stay - very hard to sleep! Noises everywhere - including loud heater - had to turn it off to sleep, then other rumblings in the wall and noise in the hallways. Other than that great stay! Restaurant meals were wonderful for dinner too!

Mercure is located in a good location near to Sete-Rio railway station, however the area is quite quiet and the surround area at the railway station is quite dirty as compared to other areas.
