Lovely, stylish property and rooms with a gorgeous pool area which was hugely appreciated to cool off in the afternoon. All the staff were lovely and friendly. We very casually mentioned before arriving a couple of our group had birthdays during our stay and on both days we were greeted at breakfast with a very thoughtful piece of cake with a candle in - so sweet! We felt really well looked after and our room was perfectly comfortable and clean for a lovely city break. Faultless location for wandering across the city and getting to bars and restaurants of an evening too

Beautiful hotel in a walkable and lovely area. The breakfast is delicious with quality items. The staff are very kind and helpful. Property is historical so some rooms are smaller. The only thing that would have made my stay better would be having a fridge and being able to drink my own yummy Portuguese wine without paying corkage fees.

We found this B&B for our 2-day layover visit to Lisbon, and we would not hesitate to book it for a future stay. Very close to restaurants, Time Out Market, and the Tram 28 stop. Tram stop to Belém is also a short walk away. Beautiful property!

The property and cleanliness of this little hotel were lovely. A safe haven tucked just off the bustling cobblestone streets. A few things that we would have loved to know ahead of time/ had a to adjust to: - No food or drink allowed in your room (very difficult when travelling abroad, especially as someone with an allergy) - The pool hours were very limited (1030-830: making it difficult to use in the morning before your day, as well as to wind down after it) - The room was small and originally advertised as having two beds. We were offered two beds, but the communication was unfortunately unclear. We did end up with one double bed for 2 of us. Not the end of the world, but it did feel like a very confined space compared to our expectations. - No parking and very difficult to access by car, or if you have mobility issues. I imagine this is common to any hotel in Lisbon, as the streets are narrow and busy! - Staff were kind and very attentive, but there were moments when we felt isolated by this direct attention. We did enjoy our time here overall and the location was truly ideal, but we are unsure if we would stay here again without some changes to the experience as listed above, especially for the price!

Great place to stay

Lovely small hotel - spotlessly clean throughout and beautifully presented. The position means it is easy to reach lots of key areas and/or catch local transport. The staff are all friendly and very helpful and seem to genuinely enjoy working at Charming House. Breakfast is excellent, lots of freshly prepared choices and the hot option is kept topped up rather than a tray cooked at the start and left throughout. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The hotel was lovely and within walking distance of the city centre. It was in a safe residential area. Easy to navigate and Tram 28 just up the road. Lots of nice shops and restaurants locally. Staff were very knowledgable and more than happy to offer recommendations for trips, restaurants etc.
