"The hotel is very centrally located to the airport, water excursions (Cpt. Andy's which we highly recommend), air excursions (Air Ventures and let Liz know that Patrick recommended you), and Kayaking to the Secret Waterfall ( Judah is who we recommend 808-651-4635), a brand new local beer brewery around the corner from the hotel called Hawaii Standard Time Brewing owned by a bunch of teachers, and a quick bite to eat at Smiley's but call your order in otherwise you maybe waiting in line (808-245-4772) with a bakery couple of doors down called Sugar Skull Bakery. There are several eateries next to the hotel a Noodle place that takes only cash and few other places a block or two away. We stayed in Cottage C and we were pleasantly surprised on how nice the place was for being so cheap for Kauai, but don't expect anything luxe. Its just a great crash pad to sleep and save your money to do things around the island."

"I expressed relaxation as the purpose of the trip. Staff gave me a room close to pool, and Luau event. I am not sure if i was heard and understood. "

"Pros: The hotel is ideally located, offering easy access to both sides of the island and making it a great base for exploring. The stunning mountain views, continental breakfast, and the variety of friendly animals on the property add a special touch to the experience. We also appreciated the complimentary beach gear, which made our outings much more convenient. A special shout-out to the staff—especially Kylie and Elton—who were exceptionally kind and did their best to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Cons: While the overall experience was enjoyable, there were a few downsides. The bed sheets were not changed daily. The bathroom could use some improvement—we experienced issues with a difficult-to-use faucet, a rusty and unpleasant-smelling shower drain, and inconsistent water temperature that would suddenly shift from hot to cold during showers. Unfortunately, we also found a cockroach upon arrival and another one in the pool."

"The room we had was out by the main road, very noisy. It was upstairs so we had to haul our luggage up, we are retired and my husband isn’t in the best health. There was only a bamboo couch to sit on in the living room. One of the counter stools was broken. The bed is a queen but felt smaller. The dryer wouldn’t shut off on its own. We used the pool the first day and noticed it was in rough shape, they closed it as we were getting out and said it might reopen in 5 weeks."

"The photos in the listing were inaccurate, showing view from a second floor unit. This is why I booked this ocean view property. However we were given a first floor unit and told we couldn’t rely on the photos. Very clean. Comfortable bed and good water pressure in shower. Shower was warm but couldn’t get a hot shower."
