Gloucestershire House
Gloucestershire House is a distinguished period property that reflects centuries of architectural history. Originally built in the 14th century, it has evolved over time with notable additions from the Tudor and Queen Anne periods. The result is a home that blends historic charm with lasting character, offering guests the chance to experience a unique part of England's heritage in comfort and style.
A welcoming entrance hall leads to a well-appointed kitchen/breakfast room, perfect for family gatherings. The ground floor also features a study, an elegant drawing room, and a spacious family room. A ground floor bedroom with adjoining shower room offers flexibility for guests.
Upstairs, the principal bedroom benefits from a dressing room and adjoining bathroom. Two further double bedrooms share a family bathroom, maintaining a perfect balance of comfort and practicality. On the second floor, two additional bedrooms and a bathroom complete the upper accommodation.
To the front, a charming lawned garden—accessed via a decorative cast iron gate from the market place. To the side, a patio terrace provides a delightful setting for al fresco dining and entertaining.
At the southern edge of the Cotswolds lies Lechlade, a picturesque riverside town where the River Thames becomes navigable. Known for its beautiful church spire, bustling market square, and riverside setting, Lechlade offers a peaceful yet lively atmosphere. Popular activities include boating and paddleboarding on the Thames, exploring antique shops and tearooms, and strolling along the Thames Path.
The Cotswolds is one of England's most enchanting regions — a landscape of rolling hills, honey-coloured stone villages, and timeless countryside charm. Spanning six counties, it's famed for its historic market towns, cosy pubs, boutique shops, and scenic walks. Visitors are drawn to its blend of rural tranquillity and refined living, with excellent dining, artisan markets, and easy access to cities such as Oxford (only 30 minutes away from Gloucestershire House!), Cheltenham, and Bath.
Please note that excessive usage of the heating will result in an additional fee.

We had a great stay at Morley House over Christmas.
A great location, and a beautiful house. The house was well equipped for our family get together. We can’t wait to come back.

Lovely house in a great setting by in need of some TLC
The house is lovely, in a great setting, with lots of character and potential
The house needs some TLC the kitchen needs an entire refurb and items around the house were broken (e.g., the back door, shutters, the dining table, and the downstairs toilet constantly refilling). One bed (the downstairs room) had hairs and some stones in it upon arrival.
