"I cannot even begin to express how amazing this hotel is. I will most definitely stay here again and will always recommend it to anybody considering a trip to Dublin. It's a perfect location. Just enough outside of the city to feel a little peace and serenity, but still close enough to catch a quick taxi into the heart of Dublin. The grounds are stunning and the interiors are very lush and warm. It is a beautifully kept hotel and it is very clear how much care and consideration has been put into the design and restoration of this historic building and the land it sits on. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with open arms and smiles from all of the staff. You could not ask for a more caring, accommodating group of people. They were all so helpful. From booking dinner reservations and calling us transportation into the city, to making sure our room was refreshed from top to bottom while we were downstairs at breakfast. And don't get me started on the incredible breakfast options. So much to choose from and every bite is amazing. We also ate in each of the restaurants, and they were just as equally delicious. The St Helen's Hotel was a perfect place to spend the end of European adventure and I can't wait to return."

"No airport shuttle "

"Loved the location and great for hiking and relaxing. Food was good but not exceptional. Main complaint is that we left early in the morning to get to the airport, 6:30 am, and we could not get out of the building. Front desk was unmanned and despite yelling a bit for assistance, we basically had to undue 2 locks at top and bottom of doors and then pry the locked doors past their locked position to stretch it open. A little scary had there been an emergency. We did try walking around looking for additional exits but could not find any. After 5 minutes we resorted to escaping as best we could."

"Quiet area"

"It would have been good if in the Advert it explained that there is a large deposit that has to be paid upfront, more than the cost of 1 night. The apartment I stayed in was dated. The door trims were coming off, the wardrobe doors were off the runners (sliderobes) and the TV didn't produce any sound. It could use an update."

"The spa was marvelous. My husband and I spent nearly 2 hours moving from steam room, to pool, to sauna, to pool, to hot tub, to heated lounge chairs. Complementary robes and non-slip shoes. Absolutely peaceful and relaxing. Just what we both needed after a fast-paced week exploring Ireland. We also dined at their on-site Italian restaurant La Taverna Armento. A cozy, warm atmosphere with delicious pasta. I had the spaghetti armento and my husband had the pork ragu. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. I look forward to staying at this hotel again. "

"This hotel has been my favorite while visiting family in South Dublin. It’s right by the pier and Sandy Cove, great walks to get fresh sea air. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Also near the DART station. Traditional rooms are very small though. I like their executive room with a sofa though the shower is better in the traditional room. Many rooms don’t have a view. If they decorate the inner building area it would look more pleasant. Tea room is always crowded and Hardy’s bar is popular in the evenings."
