"We could have sat in the rocking chairs on the lanai and watched the changing of the view and the birds the entire time we were in Hawai'i and there would not have been a single wasted minute. Of course, we ran all over the island, always happy to return home to this cozy and comfortable farm 'cottage'. Everything was clean and in good working order -- and since I know you're wondering, the WiFi was excellent -- with a smart TV in the living room and the bedroom, as well as a collection of DVDs. We had daily visits from the farm chickens who occasionally left us a fresh egg. The farm is close to a number of wonderfully scenic places -- like Akaka Falls and the (walking) road down into the valley/beach past the old sugar mill just a few minutes away across the highway. Hilo also has a lot of good restaurants, shops and farmers/craft markets, as well as swimming beaches like Carlsmith Park. The hosts have a very helpful and brief book they put together pointing toward area attractions, in addition to having an excellent full-island guidebook in the cottage."

"Very cool, tucked away in the middle of nature. Very basic, and a little bit rustic, more like a camping or glamping experience. "

"The staff was amazing! Valorie was helpful at every turn. The meals were delicious, although the timing seemed odd, dinner being served only Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday nights. The breakfasts were plentiful and filling, the fate being a variety of quiche, fruits, bread for toast, breakfast meat, granola. The ocean views were simply stunning. And the staff mixed fantastic cocktails. Only bad point was the water pressure in the shower being a little low, otherwise everything was delightful!"

"The place is not as pictured or described. Imagine peal and stick floor tiles poking your feet, no caulking with plenty of mold, room layout hide and seek, outlets going to nothing, spa not heating and slide water intermittent, dishwasher flooding the kitchen with working washer and dryer and kitty cat was great. It is in a good location. Felt very safe. "
