"Terrible communication. Only able to check in between 4-5pm. Got there no phone number. Room smells like curry, relatively clean but the stench was horrible. Pictures of the room are deceiving. Not at all the room as shown in booked pictures. Very disappointed. Great view but be prepared for poor service. When you go check in and your told it’s your fault that you didn’t call ahead to say you were arriving at 8pm. I don’t know where in the world 8pm is considered a late arrival. "

"Kitchen was great. Had microwave, fridge freezer, hotplate, coffee maker and kettle. Even an air fryer. Had everything we needed. Place was clean and comfortable . I'd give the bed a top rating, slept really well. Although some aspects of the room was a little worn (floor/tub) I think the age of the property and price reflects this, so it wasn't something I would not have expected or was personally bothered by. Staff were fabulous. Really lovely, helpful and accommodating. Made the stay. Top rating. Would definately stay again."

"The room was relatively clean, could use a dusting, lots of old cobwebs in corners, and when moving a chair dirt and dead bugs on the floor and in corners, but it provided a cheap place to spend a night, check in was easy, and front desk was friendly."

"Interesting place with lots of nostalgia decor pieces. Very quiet and very comfortable. They accommodated us with adding an extra cot in the room that was in place when we arrived - very efficient! "

"Overall good. Should advertise fireplace out of service. Many reviews had mentioned deck in rough shape but safe enough to do moderate activities on deck. There isn’t a yard. Also no outside hose attached to the upper house. There is a hose at the detached garage. Main beds are good but bunk beds are uncomfortable. Water pressure is not good so don’t expect a spectacular shower. No roof at the back deck so be aware for some wetness. I will return and visit as the location is quiet. "

"The room is a bit on the small side. The heating/cooling unit doesn't work properly so expect to be either too hot or too cold. No staff is around after 5 so if you need something you are on your own. To me the bed was comfortable as it is soft and I am a side sleeper. The pillows are on the flat side and need to be replaced. The shower head is also needing repair or replacing. Little details like this are important to truely make this place Bliss."
