"The property was Luxurious for sure. Quiet, well maintained, great amenities, so many we didn't have time to explore all of them as we only stayed 7 days. I wanted to give 5 stars. The concern was our unit had bugs flying around. We found a full garbage can that had not been taken out prior to our arrival, sitting in 90+ degree weather. The garage smelled pretty bad. I called for a maintenance to see if they could help us out & no one ever came. The next morning we woke up, there was a fan sitting outside the front door. I'm not sure if that was meant for us to remove the fruit flies & giant flies in the unit? However, I called the front desk back & they apologized profusely & moved us to another unit. The new unit wasn't as new as the previous one (which was fine at this point as the property is gorgeous), however my bedsheets had a stain & a long piece of hair on them. I called back & they came an hour or so later to change the linen. When I attempted to open the curtains, part of the curtain rod fell (thank God not all the way down to cause any harm). I called the front desk. A maintenance Support person came immediately. He was extremely nice as were the 2 front desk managers. I wish I gotten their names. If it were not for them, I would've checked out & missed out on a wonderful vacation. They were extremely hospitable, apologetic, they didn't make any excuses. They made it right which makes all of difference. I would still return. The grounds & properties are amazing!"

LEGOLAND Beach Retreat

"We recently stayed one night at LEGOLAND Resort and overall had a good experience. We had originally booked one of the bungalows and were disappointed to learn they were not yet open and were transferred to the main hotel instead. While we were definitely bummed, being so close to LEGOLAND was a huge convenience and made our visit much more enjoyable. Our first room was extremely hot, which was especially challenging for me due to health issues. The staff moved us to a second room, and while the temperature was better, it still felt a bit warm. Unfortunately, the second room had a very strong cleaning-product odor that reminded us of carpet powder. The smell was quite overpowering and difficult to ignore. One bright spot was the complimentary breakfast the next morning. We really appreciated that gesture, and the breakfast itself was enjoyable. The service at both the bar and restaurant was friendly, but slower than expected. My biggest suggestion would be to refresh the main lobby. For a resort tied to the creativity and excitement of LEGO, the lobby felt a bit dated and could use more color, energy, and interactive elements to create a stronger first impression. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the location. While there were a few issues with the room and service, there is a lot of potential here, and with some updates and attention to detail, the experience could be even better."
