Room was not clean at all. Blinds were very very dirty and they didn't close completely. Spider nets all over the place. With AC on, I noticed that the room is getting hotter. It got to 80 something. That was because the portable ac exhaust pipe was separated and it was making the room hotter than colder. Anyway, other than the host which was a very nice person, the rest was very very bad

Budget motel with a very nice owner

Very much a budget hotel but the owner is extremely friendly and the location is excellent. I would stay again but don’t expect luxury.

Awesome experience

This was the perfect one night getaway in South Lake. The location was awesome, bed was comfy, room was clean, and the check in process was easy. The owner was super friendly and provided discounted beach passes for the nearby beach as well as fresh coffee in the morning. 10/10 recommend for a night or two stay.

Awesome place, really enjoyed our stay. Got a free room upgrade, because we had our 3 year old boy with us. There is also free hot chocolate, milk and coffee. Very nice owner.

The owner, May, will go out of her way to help!

I was the last patron that checked in. The owner, Yongmei waited patiently for me, and told me where everything was. It had been snowing, and she had a parking spot shoveled for me (easy access to my motel room. Her contractor Seth even helped unbury my car the next morning, All in all, a wonderful experience!

The owners are nice and helpful. The air con unit was VERY loud. Carpet was old and appeared dirty. The shower curtain rod was hanging on by a wing and a prayer.

Read the reviews and thought it can’t be too bad..I was wrong. After about 15 minutes, I wanted to ask for my money back and pay double somewhere else. It was a short stay so I stuck it out. The staff was nice, that is the only positive I can say. The place was awful, dated, dirty and scary. No deadbolt or way to lock windows. Sketchy people around. Ants in room.

Room smelled like lysol spray. Bathroom/closet had mildew on baseboards. Luggage rack straps had mold on them. Chair in room was gross with stains. I bought my own cleaning supplies to clean the room to a livable stay. Very very disappointed I tried to get out of my stay but Expedia was going to charge me because I had already signed in.

For the discerning traveler..

I was distracted while booking, and normally would not book this type of accommodation but it wasn't realized until I was present at the property. The mattress was a large piece of foam, similar to a sponge, and we did not experience comfort. The shower head was extremely low. My wife is 5'4" and was taller than the shower head. The water was hot and pressure was strong, to add positivity. The Hotels.com advertised price is incorrect, and we paid a higher rate at the property. Hotels.com will not refund the difference in price, be forewarned. The room was dated, but clean. The check-in is an unusual 4:30pm. The manager is friendly.

When my husband and I went to check in the hotel clerk right away starting saying how she tried to call us several times, and even that she texted and actually spoke to us. Although she did never call/ text or get ahold of us in any way. The room was cancelled but lucky for us there was a better room for $120 more available! The room was put on Expedia for 160 then when she learned the reggae festival was in town she decided to up the prices by $120 so therefore apparently our room was cancelled. Also the rooms were small dinky motel rooms; really nothing worth even $160 let alone $280. She was rude. Did not understand our frustrations and gave every excuse in the book as to why none of this was her fault. Apparently she let Expedia know, but no follow through was done therefore we were out a hotel. Expedia nor the hotel owner let us know.
