The area and resort are nice. Nothing spectacular. The 1 bedroom condo that we stayed in was quite comfortable but the finishes and furnishings were outdated and need updating. Location is convenient to downtown Truckee which is nice.

It is ski in ski out property located on the slopes of Nortstar resort. Very beautiful views, cabin was modestly cozy and comfortable.

The beds were absolutely horrible. We checked out a day early they were so bad. We tried to get an upgrade and pay extra but that didn’t really materialize. If I returned to timber creek lodge it would only be with the option to change rooms based on the condition of the beds.

The down stair heating ducts need restrictors, the rooms downstairs heat to 80 degrees and then 15 minutes later all the heat has gone upstairs. So the temperature swing between 55 degrees to 80 degrees downstairs.

The property they gave us was far away from village and not at all matching how it was advertised. We actually had to take shuttle to the village which again was not at all mentioned anywhere. Complained to Expedia but they are blaming the Northstar resort and saying the resort is not responding. The place was old and noisy. It was not at all worth it for the high price we paid thinking we will be in the village.

Access was difficult with several flights of stairs, Aspen 3162. TV wasn't working. Coffee maker was broken and light over the sink didn't work. Freestanding lamp socket was broker away from the base, but was able to reinstall so we could get it to work. We were not warned that heater was cast iron gas stove that made a terrible condition racket when warming up and cooling, unable to sleep. Asked front desk to get repairs done. Repairman showed up over an hour later not able to replace coffee maker or repair lights. As an independent consultant who audits commercial properties this was on of the worse hospitality units ever encountered. Don't know the condition of other units just this one. We will not return.

It was ok- Useful, just needs updates
Check in personnel was kind and friendly. Since it's their slow season no one was really there to keep things in order. No one vacuumed or took care of the common hallways. There was a half eaten granola bar that was there from Friday-Sunday. I finally just picked it up and threw it away. Carpets were tearing and stained. I would go with vinyl flooring to help with wear and tear- especially for snow season. Location was great and Inclined Burger and Rubicon had great food. Wish we didn't have to pay $10 per person per day for the fitness/ community center.

Not as advertised. I was expecting to stay at the condos that were depicted on the picture which overlook the Village with ice skating rink and shops and restaurants but was given a condo that was in a different corner of Northstar, not walking distance so we had to drive about 5 mins to get to the area where we expected to stay at. Other than that, the condo was as clean as it can be, the carpet was filthy dirty but everything else was relatively clean. My biggest disappointment was the false advisement of the location

I liked that we had plenty of quiet privacy. I really liked the digital key pad for the gated entry and the door to the unit. Check-in and check-out were very simple. Communication through text and email was helpful.

The property was dated and the lesther couches in the living room were rather tattered. It was advertised as having two tvs, but tbe one in tbe bedroom only had a DVR. No DVR s were provided and we were never told about it before we arrived. Also, pool and gym charve $10 per day, per person. They should add thT to tbe daily rate and offer it as a comp Last but not least, the place had no AC. For a winter rental, it's ok For a summer rental it is not as it gets up in the 80's in the area. The Villave is really nice, the unit was large and confortable

Things that would have been helpful to know in advance; • $10 fee per person per day to use pool, gym • Most restaurants close by 9:00pm/ no convenience store open late • DON’T waste your money at Euro Snack INC. the frozen yogurt was terrible the gelato was ok but everything was way overpriced and poor quality. Overwhelmed by how out of date the property decor was - a tape deck, telephone, dirty worn out shag-pile carpet, uncomfortable worn out sofas and chairs from the 90's. Humidifier/fan in bedroom did not work; fan in main area too small to make any impact. Items in dishwasher still dirty from last occupants. For first time visitors no useful info was easily available - need info like legible trail map in unit, how the door lock works, 'things-to-do' brochures - there was nothing for first time visitors. There was a wooden shelf under the TV, above the easy chair that nearly decapitated us as we sat down. No wash clothes in the bathrooms and no dish towels for the kitchen.

Non-existent service staff for WIFI not working and our balcony being taped off and painted while we were staying there. Then they had the audacity to lie that someone would be by to take it down when I finally went into the office. Ripped it down ourselves that night and it was right back up the next morning. Do NOT book here unless you know someone. Northstar resort show photos of buildings in their new village, but once you get there, they put you into old beaten condos. When I called, they simply said talk to Expedia, I called Expedia, they could not do anything, it is like I booked something in Russia, 0 service. The condo we got had break in marks on the front door, the bed drawers can not close, carpet is dirty, the bedrooms and baths were low n cramped. Definitely won’t stay at anything northstar again.

Very nice, great location at Tahoe. No air-conditioning, but with fans and cool air at night not an issue. Helpful staff at office and unit close to village. Not great was unit on third floor , no elevator and winding stairs to upstairs bedroom. window missing a screen and one shower head defective. Overall good unit.

Initially got part of the information for the property, (door code) was not given the gate code. After we did get in and unpacked another renter opened the front door with the same door code, then the desk clerk told us they put us in the wrong unit and we had to move. Grossly uncoordinated and poor communication. Location is great, but of the three condos we were in over the week, they all showed their age. Loose toiltes, poorly attached shower heads, bricks missing or loose on the stairs to/from units. Every one had an ice maker, but none were hooked up. The only thing these units have going for them is location.

Beware that what you see on Expedia is not necessarily what you get at this property. Units are evidently individually owned and can be a 10 or a total dump. Our unit had frayed and stained carpet, closet doors that wouldn’t move, mismatched furniture, a fridge that didn’t keep cool, and an aged and cracked looking tub. Our disappointment upon arrival led us to request a different unit or upgrade, to which we were told that since we booked with Expedia there was nothing the resort could do. Most storefronts and restaurants at The Village sit empty, not the experience we were expecting. They charge $10 per person per day to use the rec center which includes the pools. We thought staying at The Village would be the treat at the end of a long road trip, but we weren’t lucky to get a unit worth the money we paid and drive we made for this non-refundable stop. Feel duped by the property, owners and Expedia. Made the best of our visit to Tahoe by staying away from our accommodations as long as we could during the day since there is no air conditioning and we hit a heatwave. Awakened by what sounded like trash trucks in the middle of every night, had to keep the window open because of the hot temps.
