Very nice place for a family - plenty of activity
Our group stayed in the Mountain Loft location right on the 3rd hole of the golf course and it was great. We were just a short walk to the main building where we could walk down the steps to access the beach and general store to rent our kayaks or SUPs. The check-in process was the reason for 4-stars. If you book through VRBO make sure that your reservation is clear that you are staying and not the "owner" of that timeshare week. We arrived just after 6 p.m. and apparently nobody staffs the check-in desk after then. After multiple discussions with the gate keeper and VRBO, we were finally connected to the right person who discovered that the reason we couldn't find our keys is because they were in the wrong name. We didn't know the owner for that week so we had no idea or we would have taken those keys. Aside from that craziness, it was a wonderful week with plenty of things to do - even during COVID.

Wonderful resort vacation
The Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains was a great place to get away and relax for a week. The amenities of the resort allowed for multiple options for enjoyment (kayaking, mini golf, tennis, golf, etc). We came before the beginning of the tourist season, which made things a bit difficult when it came to finding food options that were close by. Some locations were still closed for the season. The nice thing is the suite had a full kitchen making it so we could cook our own meals. Overall it was a fantastic time away and one we will look at going to again in the future.
