Welcome to Dancing Waters Lodge! This home is on Bald Mountain Lake, which private and non-motorized. Great for Bass fishing, swimming, kayaking. Dancing Waters Lodge is a spacious, two level Lakefront/Mountain home on Bald Mt. Lake, within the gated Rumbling Bald community. 5 Bedrooms with Queen Beds, 3.5 Baths and 1-queen sleeper sofa - perfect for family vacations, friends gatherings, holidays, retreats, reunions. This home is a short walk to the Rumbling Bald beach, restaurants and amenities. As guests at Dancing Waters Lodge you’ll have access to all Rumbling Bald amenities. Guest Passes are provided. Enjoy the two 18-hole championship golf courses (fees apply), driving ranges, restaurants, outdoor pool with lazy river, indoor pool, whirlpool, steam and dry saunas, fitness center, spa/salon, year-round hiking, and seasonal special events.

Chimney Rock Village restaurants, Chimney Rock State Park, area wineries, breweries, live music, hiking trails, waterfalls, and more are open and within short drives of Dancing Waters Lodge. Tryon International Equestrian Center, Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, Saluda, Asheville-Biltmore Estate, Mills River, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Brevard are great day-trip destinations. By visiting, you’re supporting the local businesses of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Western NC.

Dancing Waters Lodge Layout:
MAIN LEVEL: Open floor plan with a well equipped Kitchen opening into Family Room/Dining Area, Screened in Porch and large Deck space. The Dining Area has a table for 8-10, and 4 more seats at the Kitchen bar. Family Room has a Smart TV and gas fireplace. Master Bedroom with private bath-Queen Bed and TV. Guest Bedroom - Queen Bed. Half Bath off the Front Entry/Great Room.

LOWER LEVEL: 3 Bedrooms-all Queen Beds and 1 queen sleeper sofa in family room sectional. 2 Full Baths - One of the baths has a convenient exit door to the LL Deck and Hot Tub area. The LL Family Room has a Smart TV w/streaming service, gas fireplace. Walk out from the Great Room to a large Lower Level Deck area. On this Deck you can play corn hole. Walkway and stairs down to dock/floating dock and watercrafts.

Great rental!

Beautiful home for a family reunion!

This 5 bedroom home seems like it has been recently renovated. Large kitchen, dining area and living area. 5 good sized bedrooms. Spacious deck overlooking Bald lake which is quieter than the nearby Lake Lure but you get passes to the Lake Lure amenities. The house has a fishing dock and the use of a couple of kayaks and a canoe. We used the house for a family reunion and we would rent it agin!

Amazing. Perfect in every way.

This is a perfect rental house. Stocked with all of the kitchen tools and gadgets you could need, cooking here is a dream. The house is incredibly clean and well maintained. With two bedrooms upstairs and three downstairs, this house is great layout for two families who can enjoy a vacation together with plenty of space and quiet or play for everyone. My children slept better at in this house than they do at home! The little lake is beautiful and the amenities of Rumbling Bald are a perk too. The folks at Buffalo Junction, the rental managers are so sweet and helpful. We'll be back!

Family Reunion

Everyone enjoyed the lake. The families with their combined eleven children ranging in age from 3 to 16 spent most of the day at, in, or on the lake at Rumbling Bald. The canoes, kayaks, and floating dock were in constant use. We also spent some time using the facilities at Lake Lure beach. We had a wonderful time and the facilities were perfect for our family. This was our second time to rent here and we hope to be back next summer.

Seeing that we booked this property twice within a calendar year should be the best indication that this charming house on Bald Mountain Lake is the perfect getaway. The Lake is small but great for swimming, drifting on a tube or kayaking. If you desire a busy lake with boats and activities....Lake Lure is at your fingertips...but this lake is for folks that prefer it quiet. Great place to unplug your devices and disconnect for a few days.

Casting rubber worms from boat to shore early am or eve only productive approach. Live bait was a waste. There are large fish to be had. Access to resort adds a lot too with the kids. No game room, which was missed, but the internet was very good at house so kids played Minecraft instead.

Beautiful Home on Bald Lake

This home is located on Bald Lake. The home has been updated and includes all the amenities we were looking for. The owners thoughtfully provided kayaks, a couple of paddle boards and a canoe. We could have fished off the dock and caught all the bluegill and bass we wanted. I especially liked the back deck. Part of the deck is screened in (to keep any bugs out) and part of it is open. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and staring at the lake. I especially appreciated the management company. When we suggested that the pillows might need to be provided, they were they in a matter of hours to replace the old with new pillows. I also appreciated all their advice in pre-trip planning when they suggested things to do and places to see. Great place with great views. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again!

Covey of Doves land in Rumbling Bald Resort,Lake Lure NC

Thank you Tracy for helping to make our family get together special.You and your company are great to do business with.The property we rented was just what a covey of 10 needed,plenty of space.The younger of our group enjoyed the lake with paddle boat and kayaks.Saw more fish than we caught.Only down side was "The Steps".We had a couple of the senior age that struggled with the steps inside and out.The decks,screened porch and living room were very well furnished.Our five bedrooms were very roomy and kingsize beds would have been more comfortable.Lots of things to do.Some went horseback riding while others shopped,fished or sat on porch in rocking chairs.This was not our first trip to Lake Lure area and hope to return.Buffalo Junction real estate will be our first call or internet site we contact.My days of using VRBO are over,rental fees to high.

Beautiful home inside lovely resort!

We did not want to leave this great house. If you are looking for a lake house, it's hard to do better than this one. It is on a small lake you can swim and paddle in, and Lake Lure is a 2 minute drive away, with access to the whole Rumbling Bald resort included! The owners decorated it beautifully and keep it well stocked with everything you need. The management company was also the best we've worked with- we got a personal tour on the first day and great info in an organized binder. We loved paddling the kayaks out every day- the lake is small and calm so we had our 6-9 year olds in their own boats, which they loved. The resort pool and lazy river and the Resort beach on Lake Lure were also a huge hit. We also played mini golf, cute little course. We visited the Flowering Bridge and hiked to the waterfall at Chimney Rock. The ladies did the resort painting class and the men played golf. Some tips: GPS and cell phones did not always work. Take a photo of the directions page in the binder so you will have it in your phone. The house phone was not working when we were there. Bring bug repellent, cortisone, and long pants if bugs love you- we got a ton of bites the first day before we got wise. There are 2 baby gates at the house, you can gate off the stairs to the dock. Turn the boats upside down each time you leave the dock, rain came up suddenly and it's much harder to pull them up filled with water! Stop at the Ingles grocery store before checking in, it closes at 6 on Saturdays. Plan your restaurant meals in advance- a lot of places aren't open for dinner, aren't open every night, and it's hard to call from the house to get reservations due to the cell signal issue. Wifi at the house is great and there is a smart Bluray player so you can login to Netflix for movie night (just remember to sign out!). Bring your AAA card to get a discount at Chimney Rock. Park in the gravel spots at the road rather than pulling into the driveway if you don't have a backup camera. A huge THANK YOU to the owners for sharing your home with us and being so thoughtful to provide all the elements of a great vacation for us!!!

Great family house on Bald Mtn Lake

It is clean, well-stocked and perfectly located inside Rumbling Bald Resort. Our kids love the outdoor pools and lazy river. Other amenities like the indoor pool, playground, spa, courts, putt-putt ($7) and golf courses are all within the resort. The Lake Lure beach was closed this year because of Helene damage but we enjoyed it last year when we visited. Our favorite thing is to do is play in the smaller Bald Mtn lake that’s right in the backyard! Canoes, paddle boards and kayaks are provided - we just brought floats. Sue is extremely easy to work with and the house has comfy beds, amazing decks and so much room for us all to play. Great house!!

Lovely Family Getaway

We have spent a long weekend at this property for the last two years. There are 11 of us (three couples and five kids). The house fits us perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked, and there's a nice long indoor table. The dock is lovely and the water is deep.

Peaceful lake vacaction

We loved this lakefront vacation home. We were a group of 10, including 4 kids. The kids had a blast on the paddle boards and kayaks. Since there were no motorized vehicles in the water it felt like the safest waterfront vacation we've had. The kids played for hours while we sat on the deck or kayaked around near them, but we weren't worried about their safety (like we would be at the ocean)! It was amazing. The house was roomy and beautiful and had everything we could need. We saw a huge turtle in the water, lots of bats (yay!), a beaver and so many fish. This was such a peaceful and lovely vacation spot!

Great location for family fun

Loved this place! Had kids aged 5-10, parents, and grandparents. being part of Rumbling Bald was very convenient, having access to the pools, beach, restaurant (great pizza, btw) made the visit even more enjoyable. Family loved the paddleboards and kayaks, as well as fishing off the dock. Apple picking, waterfall hikes, and creameries all within 45min-1 hr, so plenty of activities to do. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked. Grocery is 20 min away but very nice and large. We would definitely come back!!!

Reviewer Comments: Lots of great space for our 8 adults and 4 toddlers - everything was very clean upon arrival and Sue met us to go over the amenities when we arrived. The passes that got us to the beach area, pools and fitness area were one of the reasons we picked a home in Rumbling Bald instead of the town - really nice amenities that were very convenient to the house. The top deck on the house was partially screened which was nice when the mosquitos were out and the whole deck was very safe for our four kids under 4. The dock area was deep water and great for fishing and floating, we also loved the canoe, SUPs and kayaks. The kitchen was very well stocked and we liked having the grill to cook out on. Sue responded very promptly to any question we had... we’re already looking forward to a return trip next year!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Rumbling Bald for 4 years now and this was our first time on Bald Mountain Lake. We had such a relaxing time on the water and made full use of all the toys provided! The house is so well laid out for our large family - my mom was able to have a first floor bedroom that was so helpful. Highly recommend for large families.

Memorial Day week at Dancing Waters Lodge

We had a fantastic week at Dancing Waters Lodge. The home was spacious and well appointed. It was immaculately clean and was very well stocked for cooking and kitchen supplies. The lake was beautiful and very tranquil, quiet and peaceful. Weather was fantastic low 70’s low humidity, and generally a nice breeze. Our property managers were fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer week. We will be back.

Take a Lake Break!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A group of 12 of us gathered together here for Easter weekend, and we had an outstanding experience at this home. Plenty of space for us all to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked, and as a plus, the dining room table was big enough for all 12 of us to gather (there was even a high chair for the toddler).Two levels of decks gave wonderful views. We loved that half of the top deck was screened in, and the space was safe enough for the toddler to explore to his heart's content. We also sat out on the dock and enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails lakeside.The highlight is the lake: it's serene and beautiful, and we enjoyed the options of kayaks, paddleboards, and a canoe to explore.Just an wonderful experience in every way!
