It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Nice well equipped cabin right on the lake perfect for relaxing. Really great dock setup for napping and hanging out as well as playing.
We had a wonderful time in this lovely house. The views from the house and the dock!!! We could see the flag on Chimney Rock. The kayaks were a nice touch and my husband liked fishing off the dock. The house was extremely clean and good space for us and our dog. The only suggestion I would make is to let renters know there are some areas in the fenced backyard that have openings where a small dog could slip out. However it did not stop us from having a great time. We would love to rent this place the next time we are in the area.
We love the Lake Lure area and have stayed in several lakefront properties to date. Lakeshire on Lake Lure is now our favorite. This area of the lake has beautiful views and the property has every amenity we could have wanted. Great for fishing from the boat house, lounging, swimming, kayaking or just floating. The actual house is in great shape, well appointed, though most of our time was spent outside. Access to the water entails maneuvering down a somewhat short, but steep slope. It is manageable for almost anyone and there are landings and sitting areas along the way if one needs to stop and "take in the view." It is a short drive to Chimney Rock Village, the state park, the marina, and downtown Lake Lure. The golf courses are a bit further, but it is a beautiful drive. All in all a very relaxing spot to vacation with something for everyone.
We enjoyed our stay! Great location and the views were amazing. The jacuzzi was so awesome. The huge deck was great for relaxing and lounging. Perfect place to kayak in the cove. Fully stocked place.
Wonderful clean property, nicely done..sitting by the lake in the evenings this time of year was enchanting with the quiet and stars and lights from the homes.
The home and location are great.
The home is in great shape.
Due to the multi-level floor plan the HVAC was not heating all floors the same but that would not keep us from renting the home again.
Great house on the lake. Lots of cool gear in the boat house for kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding. You are super close to both the Lake and Chimney Rock. Kids want to come back this summer.
The view was magnificent as it was peak foliage season.
All of the watercraft we're clean in in excellent condition.
The property was well kept and inside very clean with everything we needed.
The property is wonderfully maintained. The lot has many features that make it unique; no stair entry makes packing and unpacking the car easy, and the covered dock area makes it nice on a hot day. We loved our stay from coffee on the screen porch in the morning, to wine in the hot tub after the kids went to bed. Wonderful week!
Great house and location. Wonderful views all around and plenty of amenities. Loved hanging out on the boat deck, screened porch and the kids loved watching the TV from the kitchen. The managing company was great at getting information to me (last minute reservation) and made sure we had everything we needed. We didn't have any issues with access or the house.
I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The property was so clean and well maintained. The house had plenty of space for our family but was super cozy and cute. We loved the view of the lake, the porches, the hot tub and spent so much time on the boat house deck reading and fishing. And we were so glad to be able to bring our pup - she loves Lake Lure as much as we do. Thank you for a great week!

Holiday getaway
Clean and beautiful setting. Pictures didn’t portray that the house is 3 levels with awkward stairs (spiral) and a smaller size than depicted. Although we were there in the winter, this area offers many opportunities. So much so, that we’d love to go back in warmer weather and when the lake water levels are normal
This house was so great for our week long vacation! We live locally and go to Lake Lure for an easy get away, and this house was just perfect. The covered boat house was so nice. Only thing I wish we’d known was how small the two bunk beds were. My 17 year old son did not fit well and had a rough time sleeping all week. But I slept like a baby in the master bedroom! Thanks for being dog friendly!
We enjoyed our stay at Lakeshire. The property was beautiful! We spend our time outside on the covered dock, in the hot tub or in the screened porch. When we arrived we did not have any soap or trash bags but management got us those early Sat morning and were very responsive. There are a lot of stairs in the house and the narrow stairs to the bedrooms were hard to get luggage down. Be aware if you have any issues with stairs. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of bath and hot tub towels.
The boat dock overlooking the lake was wonderful. We spent most afternoons watching the boats on the lake or reading and enjoying the sun. We even got in a few good naps. We also enjoyed the Lake Lure boat tour and Chimney Rock park. All ready checking dates for another visit
House was clean and great views. The "spiral staircase" on one review was not accurate. It's a smaller staircase, but very manageable. We had a great time. Only thing I would tell them is to replace the charcoal grill. The basket that holds the charcoal has rusted away. Someone had left a pan with tinfoil as a quick fix. I used it, but it's not the same. Also, get rid of the wood pile under the canoe. There was a snake that kept coming out on the dock from the wood pile.
This rental was in an excellent location with a picturesque view. The house was very clean and kept in perfect condition. Our family spent almost as much time outside as we did indoors with activities on the lake and the comfortable boathouse/deck area. The hot tub was hot and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed. We had an issue on the first night with ongoing loud alarms going off at 2:30 AM for the septic system. Although nothing could be done overnight for the disturbance and lost sleep, the rental manager, Kristen was very helpful. She was able to get plumbers out to the rental the next morning and allowed us to utilize another rental's restrooms nearby while the water at ours was out of commission. We appreciated the updates from her via telephone calls/texts and how quickly she was able to resolve issues. However, we were concerned because the plumbers that came while we were there stated this was not the first time they came out for the same issue.
Great property with gorgeous views and a good selection of amenities for guests. We had few snags during our stay - septic pump was broken for part of the week and the owner had a boat at the dock and so we were unable to get a rental delivered (wouldn't fit in the boathouse). The property management team was extremely responsive to our concerns and got the septic issue repaired as quickly as possible which was much appreciated. All in all we had a good stay and enjoyed the lake and property.
Overall fantastic stay. Excellent communication about the property and reservation prior to arrival. Kitchen is nicely equipped for cooking in. Loved having access to the kayaks in the boat house. Comfy furniture for sitting out by the lake. Nearby access to hiking locations. We would stay here again.
