Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful part of the world. We spent Christmas here and it was just perfect. Super close to all the great sights in the national park, with a bus stop just across the road and some excellent walks starting from the lodge itself. The staff were very thoughtful – there was a lovely Christmas bauble in our room when we arrived. The room was modern, comfortable and immaculate, and we spotted lots of wildlife from the balcony. We travelled to Queenstown to ride the West Coast Wilderness Railway and stayed two nights at the Comfort Inn Gold Rush Motel. It is very difficult to choose a motel when you are travelling. We booked the room before we left home not knowing what we were going to find. It was a pleasant surprise to open the door and find such a lovely room.
