"Nice location, however, the rooms were small! Difficult to take a shower for me who is average ht/wt, but my husband 6’2” and >250# struggled. Only queen bed in room. The coffee area in lobby had minimal items and was out of things each day we were there such as sandwiches, whip cream, lids to cups, yogurt parfaits.. Line was long to get black coffee. Most meals in cafes throughout park are cafe style, prices are high so be prepared."
"While we enjoy unplugging, the little to no wireless service / wifi made it challenging to check in with family back home & navigate the park (check weather, verify facilities operating hours, etc.); therefore, do as much research & planning ahead of time as possible! Also, we stayed in the Cabins & even though the location was good & we were gone most of the day time hours, they did not appear to be well maintained for the price you pay…"
"Cute lodge rooms by Yellowstone Lake. Fantastic views over the lake from the Restaurant. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Quieter part of the Park bit close to the lower loop."
"Very convenient location to east gate of Yellowstone. Basic cabin but comfortable enough. The owner, Diana, and her family were so nice and friendly. Good price for what you get."
"Even though there was no frig, microwave or TV, your so close to Yellowstone gate. They have a wonderful restaurant and bar. Wifi only in lodge. We stayed 3 nights and staff was very helpful and curtious. I would highly recommend."
"After prepaying around 3k for only two nights and two rooms and after a long day of traveling from the East Coast, my family was greeted by a sour-faced woman named Sandra who abruptly just said, "You want to check in?" with no smile and a blank stare. She continued to respond with a harsh rudeness to any questions we had. At one point she was argumentative.
We had no congenial welcome whatsoever!
The door knob to both of our rooms was loose, making it such an ordeal both to get in and out. In one room we couldn't close the bathroom door or we needed to call someone to help get it open. We did not stay in the main older section because we needed a bathroom in the room. The walls are so thin that we could hear conversations and more from beside us and even the floor above us. The beds are old and particularly uncomfortable.
We also made reservations at the overpriced dining room (that had few menu options) where, aside from a basic burger, we had forgettable meals that cost us far too much.
The attraction for this place is in the history of it, yet one should stay anywhere else but here at Yellowstone. We will never stay here again."
