• A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right gear. This includes things like screwdrivers, pocket knives, aerosol cans and flares. • You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
