Amazing location and place

The kitchen is decked out with everything you need and the host was welcoming and provided detailed information and communication that was super helpful since it was our first time visiting. Trip of a lifetime
I can’t express how grateful I am for the amazing property we rented for our first Maui trip. I brought my kids from New York and California and we were sitting blown away by the accommodations to cook in the house, walk drive or bike to old Lahaina, and just relax and enjoy the most beautiful place in the island. We went north for a luau, did the Maverick helicopter tour, a sunset sail, and snorkeling - do it all. PAC whale is the place. This house is something illlook to do for my family every year!

Clean, nice to have beach chairs and umbrella available. Owner was responsive to any issues. Only a short jaunt to the beach, and close to downtown. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. We had no issues with parking with 2 vehicles.

Perfect location for enjoying Lahaina
This property was perfect for our family as we needed 3 beds and a minimum of 2 bathrooms. We were able to enjoy the amenities and walk to our destinations most days with the exception of Hana, obviously. We did have to play musical beds for everyone to find their perfect bed comfortability but the fact that there were options was much appreciated. The owner provided laundry tablets which was perfect as there is no way to avoid sand getting on clothes and your body (unless you avoid the shoreline completely). We hope to stay again in the future!

The location next to the roadway made it very noisy in the backyard.The short walk to the Sandy beach nearby was excellent for all of us to enjoy.

Excellent location and value for our money. Was a little run down and could use a more thorough cleaning (lots of dust on decorative items and under beds). Not as pictured in ad photos. Second bedroom upstairs had mildew smell and noted on walls. There was a sign on bulletin board that said to just deal with it. Thought this was a little strange reaction to have. Upstairs bathroom shower curtain repeatedly fell off hooks and didn’t slide smoothly open/shut. We had three adult couples staying together for a friends wedding. Upon arrival, the Murphy bed downstairs was not even made up to accommodate us and missing pillow cases. It took until the next day to receive those items. Also, there was no place to hang up dresses for the couple downstairs. The small closet near the Murphy bed wasn’t long enough. The a/c takes quite a bit of time to cool down the unit especially when have to shut off upon leaving. Parking is a nightmare for more than two cars. Second car costs $10 a day parking and any additional vehicle needs to be parked outside the gates requiring a hike to get to the unit. Also had to have our friends drive us to our vehicle as the gate has a sign that pedestrians cannot exit through the gate. Was very inconvenient. As couples, we wanted the opportunity to explore on our own without being dependent on each other leading us to each have our own vehicle. Security made zero exceptions and you will be towed for any unauthorized vehicles. Make sure you register. Office staff in the clubhouse were very nice and helpful. Our group travels together frequently and was very excited to find a location with three king beds. However, this unit is much better suited for a family due to all the difficulties with parking our vehicles. It was a very lovely, clean location that felt incredibly safe.

Awesome and safe community neighborhood
Place is clean but a smaller space than pictured online. Necessities e.g. salt and pepper, pots and pans, cookware, toilet paper, trash bags are already provided which was very helpful. Cleaning supplies are also complete so we swept and cleaned with paper towel and disinfecting spray.

Nice location but nasty property.
We liked the location but didn’t enjoy the property. The pull out couch is nasty like the property. The mattress was so old it felt like laying on the frame. The place was clearly run down. The property managers just dropped off and air mattress when we complained. Around the property there is a laundry list of stuff not to do and what to put up with like you can’t use the garbage disposal, the air conditioner leaks. The pullout couch is a joke. Let’s not mention the roaches, ants and lizards running around inside. When we pointed this out we were told it was fine by property management. We paid over $600 a night here. What a rip off.

Nice home in a quiet community
It was our first time in Maui so we didn’t realize that a lot of the ocean front is rocky. So there was no easy access to a beach area on the property. You’d have to drive to a nearby beach area. The back of the unit faces the main road so we often woke up early with vehicle sounds. If you’re a deep sleeper, you probably won’t notice it. Otherwise it’s a lovely home and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous property in my favorite part of Maui
My husband and I took my parents for this trip and the house was perfect for us. 3 full baths, TVs with cable in all rooms, front and back lanais for chilling, washer/dryer, and an INCREDIBLE view for nightly sunsets just steps away. All of the beds were super comfy. This property is part of an immaculately kept gated neighborhood right off the water—it’s far superior to any of the hotels honestly. We liked feeling as though we were part of the community. We loved watching the wild chickens and many different native birds on the back lanai. My family had breakfast and dinner together every night of our 9-night stay and it was absolutely lovely. Humongous mango trees where you can pick ripe mangoes in front of the main office. Fairly close to several less-touristy beaches, an easy jaunt to Fleming Beach and Honalua Bay. Multiple pools on the property, including an ocean pool. The neighborhood is nice and quiet in the evenings (so it’s not for people seeking to throw loud parties) and feels very safe. Tip: if you are going grocery shopping at Safeway, go EARLY in the morning as early as you can (they have an excellently curated wine section and lots of variety but it gets cray in there with way too many people.) Easy distance to lots of local restaurants in Lahaina Town (we avoided the main section of Front Street due to crowds, but there were many places a street or two over.) Several food trucks in the Safeway parking lot, including a plant-based one that became our fave. We chartered a private yacht for a morning sail out of Lahaina marina a few minutes from the rental and it was worth every moment. Highly recommend Kareem’s house for family/friend groups of people seeking to skip the hotel/resort scene. Great communication from the owners to help us ensure we had completed our diligence for Maui Covid rules. We loved our stay and will be back :)

Great property for us!
The Townhouse was perfect for all our needs-- family of four with two adult children who just graduated from college. The complex is private, beautifully landscaped with nice amenities. It is within walking distance of charming downtown Lahaina so anyone could go there without transportation. The townhouse was nice with good A/C, extremely comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen., large beach towels, beach chairs and 1st floor laundry. We loved the Clubhouse and pools- especially ocean-side pool. We loved Puamana 177-1and will definitely stay there again!! Thank you

Maui Beach-front condo
We enjoyed our vacation in Maui very much. The condo was nice and its location is ideal. It has beach access and several pools. The vast majority of units are owner-occupied and very well kept. It's within walking distance of Lahaina, perhaps a mile, along a beachside road. Lahaina is crowded with cars with very little free parking. In fact the entire island of Maui is crowded with cars. The highway to Hana was bumper-to-bumper each way on Saturday, but the beaches on the upper side of the island are fantastic with immense surf and sea turtles. There are beautiful beaches everywhere and great restaurants in cute little towns like Paia. Kahulahi has every imaginable big box store but not a lot of charm. I recommend Lahaina for beauty and charm.

Beautiful Puamana
We (2 couples) spend 10 days at the Puamana property. The grounds are beautiful and the area is well kept and quiet. Our favorite pool was the one by the ocean, but the other two are great as well. We were disappointed that you could not walk along the beach. While it is a close walk from the townhome, the area is too rocky. We had to go elsewhere to sunbathe right on the sand and go into the ocean. The townhome itself is nice, but is not what we expected. It is advertised as 2 master suites. While both bedrooms are good size, one does not have an ensuite bathroom. It is in the hallway. The other one has a nice bathroom, but no closet and nowhere to hang up your clothes. Also, you may want to think bout putting up more towel racks in that bathroom. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, but I would suggest more pots & pans, serving dishes and more storage dishes for leftovers. When we first arrived, it took several hours to get the TV sets to work. Some cords had been unplugged and it took awhile to figure it out. But once it was fixed, all was fine. The traffic on Front St was noisy enough that we could not keep the back door open in the mornings. I know that it is much better than when the highway was there. (By the way, the directions from the airport need to be changed. With the new highway, you are coming in from the opposite direction). All in all, we had a very nice and relaxing time. Great location, close to beach and Lahaina.
We stayed in unit 177-1 from Mar. 23-30, 2018 and found the condo to be clean and comfortable. We didn't see a single cockroach (as a previous review mentions). We appreciated the air conditioning and the comfy beds, which made for great sleeping conditions. The condo is well situated in the resort because it's very close to a beach access and the Puamana Beach Park. We rented surf boards and boogie boards for the week and it was easy to pop down to the beach at any time to surf. Also it was nice to be close to Lahaina. It's a bit of a walk, but very short drive or cycle. The only critique I have is that the front and back lanais weren't great (not very private and not at all covered) and I found the condo quite dark inside. Also, the third 'bedroom' on the main floor felt a bit makeshift as it is a pullout couch and the privacy screen does not extend all the way across. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and thought it was good value for our money.

The condo is exactly as described except there is no beach to be found on the property during winter months. We saw more whales then I have ever seen in my life, recommend bringing good binoculars. The unit is close to the ocean and a good view from the lanai and kitchen window. Supplies of beach towels, chairs, cooler, cooking supplies, including spices was really appreciated. Beds are very comfortable! We went to public beach next store (very close) but so rocky that my sister-in-law sprained her ankle first day not realizing and the rocks in the ocean and the ones being brought in with waves are large during winter months so we now call it "battery beach." I have to be honest the noise from the road behind us was distracting so we spent much of our time at the wonderful ocean front pool, the water a bit chilly, though refreshing, or visiting other beaches. I would recommend putting back furniture pads in storage or buying covers, they were dirty from local chickens, though we really enjoyed watching the chickens (and feeding them too). It would be nice to have some board games and cards. Recommend you please tell renters that the keypad to use is the one on the door, there were three and after being frustrated we finally found the one on the door instead of two outside of the door. Also, explain that the key to the beach supplies in the back is in the kitchen key rack. Took us a while to notice it. Clean, comfortable, and well equipped
We found the townhouse to be casually and comfortably furnished with very comfortable beds. This is not always the case in rentals, so we were thrilled! We prepared meals at home most nights and found the kitchen well equipped with multiples of everything including food storage containers for leftovers. Again, something we often find missing in vacation rentals. We were a little disappointed to find the beaches within easy walking distance to be very rocky due to past storms. I would recommend water shoes and/or suggest driving to a sandy beach if you have children as two adults in our party came away from the public beach injured. The complex is gated, well maintained and patrolled by staff in a golf cart. We felt safe at all times here. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return again in the future. An Amazing Experience!
We stayed in the unit with our friends to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The unit was exactly as advertised. Very well maintained and clean. The location of the unit was the best part; minutes from downtown Lahaina and in good proximity of the rest of the island. The unit had chairs, a cooler, an umbrella, and sand mats for us to use which was so great while enjoying the neighboring beaches. Other reviews complained about the noise of the highway behind the unit but we didn't notice it at all. The community itself was also great with the pools that were available for our use. We are already planning our next trip to Maui and will again come back to Puamana, and hopefully this same unit if available! Thank you for letting us stay in your home and allowing us to make some amazing memories on the island!!

We choose Puamana because of the beautiful surroundings!
The condo was perfect for our family! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy cooking at home if we chose. The owners had beach chairs and towels reading to go! Puamana has a gorgeous adult pool which is right on the waters edge. As you swim, waves crash and splash into the pool. The only drawback for this property would be the highway noise. We chose to stay in the front when we had our morning coffee so we wouldn't hear it. But overall, the condo was perfect for us. We recommend it for anyone with a family coming to visit Maui!!

It really is paradise!
My husband and I traveled with our two daughters and a boyfriend. We found the condo immaculate and well stocked, the owners very accommodating and the location central to all that we wanted to do. Having 3 separate sleeping areas as well as 3 bathrooms was so ideal to our needs. The beach out front was fun and the pool was so restful after a day of activities. Lahaina was within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this property to others! 5 Stars!!

Lovely property in a noisy location
The property description is generally accurate, the condition of the property immaculate, the amenities as described and extensive (with the exception of the clubhouse being closed and tented the day after we arrived) and the information provided by the owner very helpful. The complex in which the unit was located is attractive and well kept. The major item missing from the description, the pictures and, very surprisingly, from the existing reviews is the immediately proximity (the back yard abuts against it) to a very busy two-lane highway. In addition, two adjacent units are being renovated making the noise level unbearable. The noise level from adjacent traffic from early morning to late at night makes it literally impossible to enjoy neither the back nor the front yard or to open any windows in the back of the house (even without construction noise). The renovations next door will eventually be finished, but the highway noise is a constant. As a result, we only spent two of the 8 nights we had booked at this location - the noise level was just too disturbing. For anyone used to a very high level of urban traffic noises, these conditions may not be an issue but, for anyone else, I would not recommend this unit.

Perhaps Puamana / West Maui is not suitable for your vacation expectations. 90% of the Puamana’s 230 properties are within 300 feet of Honoapiilani Coastal highway which brings varying degrees of traffic noise for everyone in Puamana. The beauty of Puamana Is that 90% of the properties are also 300 feet from the Pacific Ocean Beachfront with a great view of Lainai Island and magnificent Mountain View of the West Maui Mountains if you look in opposite direction. That is if you if you decide to bring your attention to these magnificent views. West Maui is not for everyone the same Honoapiilani Coastal highway hugs the Coast line for about 5 miles Up thru Lahaina and Kaanapali to afford some degree of traffic noise to everyone that visits West Maui. Yes this happening Paradise Community comes with a busy Coastal Highway. Maybe Hana, Maui, Hawaii would a suitable beach vacation destination if you want virtually no traffic noise

Puamana Home
Hello all, My family & I recently stayed at this townhome for 7 days and absolutely loved it. Gated community with clubhouse, tennis courts and pools. Owners are great to work with and provided all items needed in advance of the stay, plus checked in to confirm all was well. The house itself was perfect, very clean with all of the necessary amenities and great kitchen area. There is your own private beach with a nice lawn up to the sand & water. A swell came in and we scored nearly perfect 6-8 foot waves for 2 days with only a few people out. Downtown Lahaina has many tourists, so having your own private beach to share with a few folks is heavenly. Great views. The people living or staying in this community are very nice and welcoming. Located about a 1/4 mile from downtown Lahaina, you can walk or jog downtown, many shops and restaurants are close- great location! All described in the ad were true & more. We highly recommend staying at this Puamana home, we had a fantastic time and would stay there again. Enjoy from California.
