"This beautiful property is a hidden gem. The staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating and the grounds are beautiful. There was not a ton of other guest which was nice to keep a relaxing vibe but some of the activities were limited. You could not enjoy the ocean because of the accumulation of sargassum and the water pressure needed to be consistently stronger. Despite this, I would gladly return and highly recommend Itz’ana for your next Belizean vacay!"

"We really enjoyed staying here! The ambiance was amazing! The views are gorgeous! It had plenty of space for our group of 6. It was very quiet. The only minor issue we had was we couldn't get the propane grill to work. Otherwise everything was spot on! I would stay here again!"

"We loved our stay at this beautiful home in Placencia! The house was very clean and well equipped. We loved all the outdoor space, being right on the beach, and a plunge in the pool to cool off. Christine and Marvin (Leo’s colleague) were very helpful. Marvin helped us with groceries, booked a boat to Moho Caye, and even helped us when our rental car would not start (from another company, not Leo’s car rentals). Cannot recommend this place enough. Highlights were snorkeling at Moho Caye, Maya King Falls (our kids loved this!), and dinner at Placencia Yacht Club (an absolute must!. Make a reservation through WhatsApp -Caroline is amazing!) We also enjoyed a few meals at Maya Beach Bistro just down the street. Dinner over the water at The Placencia resort was also amazing… but a bit pricey after we realized prices were in USD not BZD. We also really enjoyed Placencia Beach Club."

"We were so sad to leave the swaying palm trees and oceanfront view at The Golden Spot. We enjoyed the hammocks and beachfront lounge chairs in the shade where we could just relax and admire the view. The staff do an amazing job of keeping the grounds and rooms clean... the sargassum is raked off the beach daily so there is no strong smell. FIVE en-suite rooms worked perfectly for our family, giving everyone space for down time. The upstairs living area with ping pong table was a nice gathering space. Treat yourself to some meals prepared by Juan... his food was one of the highlights of our trip! The massages were amazing and also added a touch of pampering to the experience. We made golf cart trips to RISE Cafe for coffee, Maya Beach Bistro and The View Rooftop restaurant in Seine Bight. We never found time to make the trip all the way to Placencia Village... over 40mins each way, but it would be a beautiful drive. Easy to call a cab if you want to get there faster. We hired a taxi to drive us 30mins to Maya King Waterfalls one afternoon on a whim- beautiful way to spend an hour or 2. If you are looking for a peaceful vacay spot where you can be pampered- this is it!"
