La Jolla Cottage by the Sea

Relaxing, quaint studio in the Bird Rock neighborhood of La Jolla. Quiet and serene with private entrance and balcony overlooking a small fish pond.

A 10 minute walk to Calumet Park with an overlook of the Pacific Ocean. Coffee shops, a bakery, yoga and restaurants all close by. A King sized pullout couch with memory foam topper sleeps 2 adults comfortably. A Twin sized mattress also available.

Cycle friendly with complementary beach cruisers to explore the Pacific Beach boardwalk, or cycle the Bird Rock path into La Jolla Village. Beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys are available.

Kitchenette (see amenities listed), shower, and balcony.

Please enjoy our backyard from the comfort of the cottage deck. The backyard is part of our living space, and may be shared upon request.

Cozy home base for adventures

We had a great time with our 9 year old boy staying here while we ventured to museums, zoo, and legoland. This is an a very convenient, beautiful location and street parking was very easy! Hosts were very kind and welcoming.

Perfect location

This studio rental is set on a beautiful property, in what has become one of my favorite parts of the San Diego area. The walk to stores, shopping, wine, coffee, restaurants, and a great bakery is just a matter of a few short blocks. The space itself is outfitted with everything that you should need to enjoy your stay. Highly recommend.

A cozy little spot near everything we wanted to do. Great walks, restaurants close by, a good bakery. Friendly and hospitable owners. The orange blossoms smelled delicious. Comfortable reading chairs on the balcony. Loved it.

This place has everything you need. Perfect size for a couple. Private balcony. Nice neighborhood. Safe. Close to lots of restaurants. And the bikes included were clutch. Being able to ride to different beaches

Fun in the sun

We loved our stay. We were close to the beach, parks, great food, and the airport. We were worried about the bed initially because my husband is 6'5". Do not worry a second about the bed. It was so comfortable and we slept well. We spent lots of time on the patio and in the backyard space. Marty was so good to communicate and immediately dealt with any needs we had. We will come again!!!

Room is above garage so you do hear the garage door opening and closing. Ideal space for one person. Only one chair so second person has to sit on bed or out on the patio (weather permitting). Kitchen is very compact but is reasonably equipped for making snacks in toaster oven. King bed was very comfortable and is actually a sofa bed but cannot be retracted because of the thick foam mattress, so is not available as a seating area.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The whole room and setup were just right. The bottle of wine was a nice extra. I appreciated all the little extras provided, to compensate for some items we forgot to pack. I would absolutely stay there again.

The property was perfect for our stay. Loved the quiet mornings reading on the balcony. Easy walk to a coffee shop and a short drive to the beach. The owners are super nice and helpful (they even mailed back my lost AirPod). This is the second year in a row we’ve stayed there and the experience, as before, was exceptional.
