Nestled above a retail space in the quaint La Jolla Shores neighborhood, this upstairs unit is a two minute walk from San Diego's most beautiful and family friendly beaches, La Jolla Shores.

The unit is upstairs from Hike Bike Kayak Adventures, who generously includes free equipment rentals for guests of this unit including kayaks, boogie boards, snorkels, foam surf boards, paddle boards and wetsuits. They also include 25% off guided tours for guests of this unit.

The unit is a one bed, one bath with queen size blow up matress. Perfect for a couple or young family.

La Jolla Shores is a mile long pristine beach and the neighborhood is much quieter, easier to park, and more relaxing than La Jolla Village. However, La Jolla Village and La Jolla Cove are still a five minute car ride, fifteen minute bike ride (for adults), or twenty minute walk. While La Jolla Shores has such famous restaurants as Piatti's, Osteria Romantica, and the five-star Marine Room, the shopping, restaurants, bars, and art galleries are still very accessible from this location.

From La Jolla Shores, depending on the season, you can relax on the beach in the sun, kayak the La Jolla Sea Caves, snorkel with the famous (and completely harmless) leopard sharks, kayak with gray whales, surf gentle waves, boogie board around the beautiful coast. All with equipment or instruction from Hike Bike Kayak Adventures.

We absolutely loved our stay while visiting our freshman at UCSD! We made use of wetsuits and surfboards to have family fun as well as appreciated the discount on a kayak tour. The location is so perfect- steps away from the beach and breakfast/coffee shop next door. We also lived the Cheese shop for sandwiches. There is a fun and festive evening atmosphere to walk around. We will be back!

This is a lovely place to stay which is very close to some fantastic places to eat (including the best little bakery/coffee shop next door) and the beach is within a very short walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Great apartment, close to everything.

We really enjoyed out time at Sharon’s place. The apartment was nice and cozy, perfect for relaxing. We loved exploring the neighborhood and walking to the beach. We had everything we needed. There are several restaurants and shops nearby. We highly recommend staying here.

Perfect Stay in Perfect Location

Condo was as advertised and better! We loved it. Location is great with useful beach essentials provided (chairs and towels). Super easy to get around and easy access to route 30 bus into La Jolla and San Diego in a breeze. Highly recommend this rental to any couple looking to spend vacation in La Jolla!

Memorable LaJolla

This 2nd floor apartment is quaint, centrally located and a short walk to the beach. We ate right across the street at the Sandpiper and cooked meals. Perfect coffee each day was just next door. Next time we will take them up on their free kayak offer. Not sure ibetter.

Just around the corner from lovely coffee shops and restaurants, 2 blocks to the beach, and free kayak use! Comfortable bed and living room. Kitchen had everything we needed.

This one of our favorite places! Food, beach activities all in a 2 block area! We really enjoyed ourselves! The condo is a great place just to hang out! We had a great time! Looking forward to our next trip!

Great location!!! Cute coffee shop nextdoor, cozy Condo with everything you need, walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Only complaint is parking but host warned us of this. We’d Uber if/when we stay again:)

We've stayed here before and love it. It's very light and has a wonderful decor and feel about it. It's quiet except in the morning with trash trucks. We soon got over that. Great location for going to the shore and also having a kayak or boogie board.

An amazing stay in La Jolla Shores

Just a great place to stay. Terrific private space above the rental shop. Clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. Interactions with the host were easy and friendly. Sharon made accessing the kayaks easy. Just a short walk to an amazing beach to walk, kayak and snorkel. Highly recommended!

Surf trip Lajolla 2024

The cottage was conveniently located to the beach and shops and dining areas. It wasn’t super fancy but it was definitely sufficient. We had all the amenities we needed. The outdoor shower and patio overlooking the street were excellent! It was not noisy even though we were all near the Main Street in Lajolla Shores. Parking was the only inconvenience. Surfing was great and the weather was fantastic! Definitely a great vacation

Amazing location at the Shore

This is a great property to stay in while visiting La Jolla. The location is perfect for walking to the beach or going to dinner. Plenty of food and activities within walking distance. Easy to access and check in. I love the codes for the doors. No keys needed. The space is nicely equipped with everything you need for you stay. And it is nice and private to store all your beach items like a wagon or chairs. The AC works good but so does opening the windows in the evening to a nice breeze. Thank you again for sharing your space

Just Wow!

Amazing location above the Hosts' Kayak shop and within steps from numerous restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Perfect location within a couple blocks from the Beach, and a 20 min kayak ride to the La Jolla Cove and the seals. My wife and I and our teenage boys loved it. Used the complementary kayaks and gear which was a great perk. The boys slept on the blowup mattress and though they would have preferred a bed, my wife and I we were just fine : ). Would return again and again. Thank you.

Excellent location and a lovely apartment

I very much enjoyed a long weekend at the apartment! I didn't want for anything and the bed was comfy as well as the living room! I loved the air con in the bedroom and the living room as well as the ceiling fans. Shower worked well and there was access to plenty of towels for both the apartment and the beach. The washer/dryer were a bonus as well as access to the main strip of restaurants in the Shores and being just 400m from the beach! I took advantage of the 25% discount for a kayak trip which was flipping brilliant! Thank you, Sharon, I had a marvellous time!

Favorite Spot

Love this place. We’ve stayed here a couple times now. I’ve also stayed in other rentals within a block of this space. I prefer Sharon’s place. I find it to be quieter and more private. It may not be as updated as some of the other rentals in the area but it’s cheaper and larger with a lot of windows to open for the breeze. Also, parking in the area can be difficult especially during peak season. The option to use the alley to unload is really helpful. Sharon is super nice and low key and the added benefit of free kayak, snorkel, or paddle board is a big value add and money saver. I always check Sharon’s place first.

Lovely little spot in La Jolla

Hubby and I were very happy with this VRBO rental. The pictures are spot on. The place is clean, bed and furniture are comfy. Nice windows and we didn't need the AC in the main living area; we just used in the bedroom for sleeping. Quick walk downstairs with an alley entrance to your morning coffee right next door. I took the kayak tour through the caves; note the kayak rentals are free; tours are not. Remember to ask for your 25% discount on tours (I forgot). You also get free Boogie Board rentals, that was fun. There were towels for the shower and towels for the beach. I enjoyed reading while sitting on our balcony. Would definitely rent this place again.

Perfect little spot in the best little beach community

My 18-year-old daughter and I spent a weekend visiting my best friend who lives in the area.. I was worried after reading a recent review that the place would be less than stellar. I needn’t have worried. I got check in instructions 24 hours in advance and everything worked just as it should, including strong Wi-Fi. Sharon was super nice and even called me to let me know she had sent the information. The space was adorable, we threw open the blinds, windows and curtains and soaked up the sea air! The bed was very comfy and we had all that we needed- Beach towels, plenty of pillows, cozy throw blankets, lawn chairs, beach umbrella, and a nicely stocked kitchen. The neighborhood was adorable with a short super fun walk to the beach loaded with shops and restaurants. The beach was absolutely stunning! It’s literally just a couple blocks until you dead and at the sand. We walked the beach multiple times over the two days we were there. We saw sunrises, sunsets and had lunch on the boardwalk. A fantastic place to be. Can’t wait to go back.
