The house was great, the pool was the highlight of my grandsons trip, it was very well maintained. The location wasn’t what I was expecting, it’s a bit far, however with the Combi bus coming ever 15 min it was very easy to get around, and to our surprise a mobile bakery goes around that area daily, so fresh baking at our door daily! We loved it, would definitely stay there again, beds were comfortable, being as it’s out of the way it was quiet, and with the air conditioning made for good sleeps! Very family friendly house

Casa Olivia was excellent. Our family of 6 included 4 adult children and 2 parents and everyone has an absolutely wonderful time.The property was even better than the pictures showed. Jose the owner and host was simply fantastic. His knowledge of the local area was terrific and made our outings easy and wonderful and we did some very fun trips, like ATVing and a very fun boat trip.Overall a 10 plus rating. We spent a lot of time poolside, and with the large sliding doors into the house we had plenty of space and having the pool just for us was a real treat.The kitchen was very well stocked and we enjoyed the best fireworks show up on the outdoor patio.I highly recommend Casa Olivia.

Mexico 2024

Was a great home. Clean. Everything we needed was available for use. Lawn chairs and beach towels for the beach. Pool was nice. Was not in total sun all day, was welcoming after a hot day out in town. Transportation is recommended for use, we rented a golf cart to get to town. Location is just off the highway but was difficult to walk to town, as there were no sidewalks. Buses were simple to use.

Great home with great manager

We rented this home on short notice after our initial rental was damaged by the recent hurricane. Great home. Very clean. Nice indoor and outdoor gathering places for our family. Small pool for dipping. Nice location overall but not within walking distance of beach. I would recommend a car. The actual location of the home is the only drawback as you need a car or other reliable transportation. Jose was very easy to work with and very helpful. We would stay again.

Beautiful home. Wonderful pool. Great hosts.

The home José and his wife provided was spotless. It is much larger than the photos show. The kitchen is enormous and we enjoyed the outdoor bbq. Wonderful hosts were available in person or by text whenever we had questions. José’s little chihuahua pup made my wife’s day whenever he was by. Very friendly. Our arrival was late afternoon but Jose went over and above to stock the fridge with the shopping list we provided. The pool was the centrepiece for us. It a very private, was crystal clear and a perfect temperature. The location is a bit from a town but 10 pesos to La Cruz or 15 pesos to Bucerious by bus is simple. Make sure to try Junior Tacos just up the road. We used a couple different drivers for excursions or InDrive or Uber are plentiful. Jamie and Jen

Paradise in La Cruz

We have rented many homes from VRBO over the years and this house is one of the best! Jose and Olivia live next door. They were discreet but always available. The photos depict the rooms accurately but the photos don’t depict how much room there actually is….it is a large well designed home. The bedrooms are all spacious with ensuites and comfortabe beds. You do not need to bring anything with you except food. Jose and Olivia supply everything. This is something I have not found in other rentals. The house is incredibly clean. We spent lots of time in the pool and enjoying the space. It is in a residential area close to the highway. You do not need a car at this rental. You can walk into La Cruz (25 min) or grab the bus at the end of the road for 12 pesos. Buses are frequent and can take you to Punta Mita, PV or Sayulita. Would definitely return!! What a GREAT find!

My wife and I had the pleasure to stay at Casa Olivia for two weeks in February 2024. One of our son's and his wife joined us for one of our weeks there. This house is amazing! It is very well designed, appointed, built and maintained. And CLEAN! It has three large comfortable bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, plus two more half bathrooms. It has a really lovely swimming pool, one big balcony and a smaller one off one of the bathrooms. We spent almost all out 'awake time' around the pool. It has nice large living and dining rooms but we didn't spend much time in them. The dining room table is only where we would put our things when we were between adventures at the beaches, communities and attractions in the region. We normally ate casual meals either around the pool or at the kitchen table. Some of the highlights for activities that we did: the beaches at Distileria, Blanco (near Punta Mita), San Pancho and Bucerias; the Sunday morning market on the La Cruz marina; the whale and dolphin cruise on Monday morning out of La Cruz; live music almost any afternoon or evening at TreeHouse and Lusty's in La Cruz; the food everywhere; the friendly locals; the e-bike food tour in Bucerias; and spending the hot afternoons at the Casa Olivia Pool. We caught public transit very close by. Olivia and Jose are really wonderful and welcoming hosts and now we are amigos. They are as helpful as you want them to be. We are planning to return to stay at Casa Olivia again soon.

Casa Olivia is a lovely house. The kitchen was well stocked & everything we needed was there. The pool was such a wonderful and welcoming experience in the afternoon. Very clean & well maintained property. Jose was just a great host. He was very helpful and accommodating. Many other Canadians have stayed here and it was reflected in the warm comments in the guest book.

Fabulous Vacation

Jose and Olivia are the perfect hosts. Their house is beautiful, well maintained and fully stocked with all the essentials - even a ton of spices. The house is very spacious and we enjoyed the pool in the morning, afternoons and evenings. Would recommend highly if you are considering a visit to La Cruz.

Beautiful Property

The pictures truly do not do this place justice. This is a very beautiful property with all the modern conveniences that you would need. Jose is a very gracious and attentive host. We have rented several VRBOs and never had such a wonderful accommodating property manager as Jose. He had everything you could possibly need down to the laundry detergent. All we really needed to purchase was our food for the week, everything else was provided, even additional cleaning service during the week. We enjoyed most our down time by the pool, which was maintained daily as well and very clean. This location is close to several local beaches and very good restaurants. Very convenient location. We highly recommend this property and will definitely plan on staying here again the next time we make it to Mexico.

Fabulous Casa in La Cruz

Recently (February) stayed in this casa for 2 weeks. (Four adults 50+) The pictures don't do it justice. This house is definitely high end with a lot of attention to detail. Huge square footage. Lovely large gourmet kitchen with all the extras you need to cook your own meals. Beautiful pool adjacent to the living room to cool off in after a day in La Cruz or Bucerias. The master suite on the ground floor would be considered high end anywhere along with the large ensure. Upstairs are two more lovely bedrooms each with their own ensuites. There is also a large open patio area on the 2nd floor with charcol BBQ, kitchenette and seating areas. The hosts Jose and Olivia were awesome. Always available to answer questions and quick to help with anything we needed. Odie their dog that protects the lot next store was very friendly once you get to know him. The house is approximately 2 km from the beach in La Cruz but we didn't find this to be an inconvenience. Rides were readily available by Indriver which we used within La Cruz, shopping in Bucerias and day trips to Sayulita etc. A lot cheaper than a rental car. There is also a small taco place less than 50 meters out the door. Words don't really do this place justice. Definitely 5 star+! Thanks so much for an excellent vacation Jose and Olivia

Awesome House

I will start with saying. Do not think about it get this house. This is a super comfortable house with a nice cute pool. This location is between Puerto Vallarta and Punta Mita and has really nice beaches near by to go surfing or just relax. Jose is an awesome host the cleaning was done really nice and my family spend a lot of family time in the trance and in the pool.
