We showed up at the hotel at about 10pm only to find the building locked. It turns out that the reception desk is actually 2.6km away from the actual hotel in another building, but they email you a code to get your key out of a keybox. However, didn't send the email to us explaining this until the day of. As we were traveling from out-of-country, we didn't notice the email do to a lack of wi-fi. Luckily, another guest let us in and we were able to call someone to give us the code to get a key for our room. We still had to take a subway into the actual reception center the next day to complete the check-in process, a major hassle considering our tight schedule. This is the first hotel we have ever been to without on-site staff and check-in. The room was great, though, but having to travel out to the reception center was horrible. This needs more advanced notice.
