The hotel is close to Kuta beach, but the rooms are dingy and the safe box was not working. The locks had problems and the staff took 40 minutes to open the door...also area is surrounded by touts and pimps...so not a great place for family stay.

Stayed here for 3 weeks in March. Absolutely enjoy this hotel. Third stay here. The facilities and staff are great and its in a good central location. Its currently in development and the final product will be exceptional. The new rooftop pool is very enjoyable.

On night arrival given dirty, mouldy room on the ground floor with a garden view of a tree and wall! Moved to 4th floor, smelt cleaner but wasn't. Dirty bed linen and towels, marks in bath, wobbly taps, mould painted over and univited guests, ants. Yes I know its a hot country but you do not want to woken up at 2am by ants in your bed. New swimming pool looks very swish, but is green with alge. The rainwater in the old leaking pool is cleaner. This is still causing issues with dampness throughout the hotel. They are building a new extention and the new part my be different when complete, Offered a suite on checkout but by then i had enough. I wouldnt book here again.

This property was fine. Good location but a little dirty and outdated. Seems like they tried to make an old hotel look new with some paint, but didn’t actually make updates. We requested a room change and staff was accommodating.

Overall excellent would recommend the hotel
Newly renovated room was excellent. Bathroom was really old and needed renovating. Lift available which is rare in kuta. Swimming pool was being renovated. Location was good easy access to market shops and food. Mcdonald's only 4 minute walk. 15 minutes walking distance from beach

Nice room, pool, decent location, smell of smoke
The hotel itself was pretty nice, being in a decent location, 5 minute drive (15-minute walk) away from Kuta center/ Beachwalk. The room was rather majestic, with a very spacious room/bathroom with all the necessary amenities. To relax during daytime, I went to the rooftop and just lay in the beautiful pool. There is onsite restaurant too, although I chose to eat few shops away for more variety. They also provide scooter/ tour services onsite, but I chose to get it from next door who was giving cheaper rate. Few of my concerns- one was smell of smoke in the lobby/ elevator, it wasn't very pleasant. And secondly, the neighborhood didn't have much. You need to take a Grab/ drive around to get to any point of interest. If you can drive a scooter, I'd say it is one of the highlights of being in Bali. I'd also recommend to spend more time in Ubud than Kuta/ Seminyak.

The property was very old and dated. Also the little toiletries were not adequate. The bathtowels were so old i wouldnt even use it to wipe the floor with. We weren't even given face washers. The rooms with no views where we stayed smelled of moulds and we couldnt actually open the windows because when we did, we had a view of the corridor where other hotel patrons were walking around! The safe didnt work properly and we had to wait half a day for it to be fixed and yet it couldnt be fixed so we had to move to another room. All the other common areas had no air-conditioning. The dining room was manned by fans and it was stifling with heat. There were little fruit flies hanging around at the salad bar. The egg section, Where they cook the eggs for you by order didn't understand basic english and even when they did the eggs were overooked and chewy. The staff are friendly but some things can't be fixed with a smile. We wouldnt recommend this property if youre looking for comfort or basic hotel service.

We booked this hotel for a night before our midnight flight out of Bali. Whilst we didn't actually sleep here, we did use the Wi-Fi and had showers etc. It's a great location to Kuta and the staff were really helpful. The hotel itself is super tired and run down, however, the room was clean, spacious and had all you need.

Everything was average by Bali standards at this price bracket but they need to use some bleach on the towels to make them white again. This stay occured on the tail end of the corona virus. When the balinese economy is suffering badly. Property owners must be suffering badly.

The staff are beautiful, every one I had the pleasure of dealing with. The rooms were clean, air conditioners worked perfectly and the fridge just made my stay that little extra comfortable as I always had nice cold drinks. Being an older person I just found the pool not to be that user friendly, it’s a climb to get in! Otherwise location is perfect especially for local shopping and loads of restaurants! Very near to the beach too.

Not a pleasant experience
Bittely dissapointed - my flight out of Philippines was cancelled due to volcano - so I arrived one day later than my booking - despite having communicated this to them when my flight was cancelled - they said all I could do was pay their highest rate for a room - more than double the price on my original booking - it was 3 am - when I said I would just sit in the reception area on sofa for a few hours then - they were hostile - and said I had to stay somewhere else or pay them lots of money. I ended up staying in another hotel across the road down an alley which was half the price, and much more pleasant.

The only good things were: clean room, comfortable bed. Otherwise I would rate it 3* ; definitely not 4* Very limited choice of food at breakfast, no lounge mattresses available, Pool staff allowed a guest to play his music from his speaker- so now 2 different types of music are playing loud at the infinity pool at the same time ( hotel one and the guest one); when asked to switch one one of the music as extremely annoying- request ignored. Not a place to stay more then 1-2 days. Comparing to other 4* hotels- this one would be the worst I ever stayed at so far.

Personally I cannot fault the service at the Royal Singosari. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was good. The roof top pool was refreshing with additional bar. The rooms are were clean and serviced with all amenities. The location was central and convenient. The WiFi was surprisingly responsive. I would stay there again.

Great location at the end of Kuta beach. The beach and many shops were only a 5-10 min walk away. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. The bathroom was a bit dated and not the cleanest. Shower curtain was dirty.

Kuta revisited
Room was generally fine and A/C was good, however, 'Garden View' was a bit of a misconception as there is no garden! Also, while rooftop pool was nice, loungers were not particularly comfortable and shade was hard to come by. Hotel offers reasonable value but struggles to live up to 4* status.

Terrible stay at Royal Singosari Kuta.
I took family holiday to Bali and booked Package 2 deluxe rooms (thinking two bedrooms attached together, but its actually two different bed rooms and that was my mistake). Problems in rooms: 1. Air condition didn't work 2. Bad smell in bath rooms (caused by either bathtub or hand mixer) On day 1 itself i had problems and manager said all rooms are occupied on that day and also no refund of my deposit as my booking is non-refundable. And all they can do is spray room perfume. So i waited till next day and to change to another room and again same issue and again changed to another room. And in the third room also has same problems but decided to stay and i lost hope in other rooms. I have been to Asia/US/Europe many times but never had such a bad experience anywhere before. And i don't suggest this hotel to anyone.

Booked garden view with king size bed but got room with no view, open the window see corridor so can’t open window as people walk pass can see and it’s noisy. Bed is two single join together. Only have bathtub and is slippery, towels n floor mat color looks the same, dirty towels. Only location is good and it’s cheap so this is what you get if you only want a place to sleep and wash up.

Hotel is close to the beach, malls, warungs, massage places etc... Staffs are courteous and friendly. Breakfast buffet are good and delicious. Our room was cleaned everyday and towels are changed everyday. Rooftop pool was awesome. Its a great place to stay and i will recommend it to my family, friends and coworkers. Beyond disgusting
I don't know where to start but it was beyond terrible. Only positive thing was the staff they did their best but they could not cover the hotels bad condition. The rooms were smelling the card key didn't work, the pool was disgusting and we left the hotel after one night.

Loved the roof top bar and pool area, the room amenities are like in a 5 star hotel and the staff super friendly, loved my stay there and will now be making this my go to hotel whenever I'm in Bali.

Unpolished diamond fantastically positioned n Kuta
Due to the convenience of its location this is not the first time we have stayed here. Approx 350m from the ocean, 200m from Matahari and Stadium bar everything is on your doorstep. 12 family members all enjoyed the friendly hospitality and laid back Indonesian staffing. This time we opted for a suite and in fairness for the extra couple of dollars the living room / additional space was fantastic. In comparison to the other stays here our expectations were met. Only negative was the pool bar ran out of towels late afternoon. That aside we would happily return to The Royal Singosari

Great location. I booked for the suite room which was decent in value but unfortunately the room is located right next to the lift lobby. Bed room wall is right next to the operating lift. So at night when its quiet and when you try to sleep the sound of the operating lift is kinda annoying. I bought ear plugs for this, can imagine without ear plugs. Apart from that all else is good. Nice to have a gym though. Do check out the roof top pool during sun set. Nice view.

Staff were helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. Disappointed that there was no ‘no smoking ‘ area out front to eat in the evening.
