"The staff is very helpful and cordial. The location of the hotel is very nice. However, there are many shortcomings in such a large hotel. Room prices are around 150 dollars, but there is no water in the rooms, there is a jug. You fill your own water from the machines in the corridors. Environmentalism etc. There are coffee cups in the rooms, but no coffee, no tea, no kettle. There is no hand and face drying towel in the bathroom, there is only one foot towel, but no bathrobe. "It is close to the Almaty 2 train station just 10 min walk. There is a supermarket close by and lots of restaurants options. It’s also close to the walking district Arbat. A few of the staff don’t speak English but we were able to communicate using google translate. They are helpful. I had a room with bathroom, its clean and the bed is comfortable. It’s like guesthouse style, it’s very good value for the price."
