The air-conditioner was set at the coldest setting (because it was not working well) and we were still much too warm the entire 2-days stay, in 2 separate rooms. The pillows are hard, with bead like stuffing; even hurts the ears. We had to use our bath towels instead.

'NO' to all requests
1. I booked a smoking room by mistake so i requested the front desk to change it to a non-smoking room and will just pay the additional amount if any. He told me all rooms are fully booked. I showed him the app with a few non smoking rooms still available. He than told me to call Hotels.ca and talk to them not him. 2. I requested an additional pillow in the middle of the night and was simply told 'NO' I requested extra pillows the second night and thank Godness the clerk is a new guy and gave me my request!

The rooms are kept very clean and comfortable, and the service staff are great. The lobby and other public areas could use a little sprucing up, but this is generally a very nice place to stay.

Great stay near Hyogo station
Very comfortable and perfect location close to Hyogo station, making central Kobe close. A little old decor, but has everything you need.

Great hotel in Kobe
The Luminous hotel is similar to many other business hotels in Japan. But the Luminous' style, aesthetic, and cleanliness is superior. The staff were professional and helpful. My room was spotless and decently sized. The hotel isn't located in downtown Kobe Sannoniya, but the hotel's area itself has enough restaurants to keep you satisfied. This hotel is definitely worth a stay if you don't mind staying out of Sannoniya.

Unexpected spaciousness.
We stayed at the Kobe Luminous hotel May 18-20, 2018. It is an older modern and clean hotel, but the carpets in the elevators and our room should be replaced. I paid for a compact room but it had a sofa, a long window counter, and unexpected spaciousness. The wifi and beds were good. It is a 4 minute walk from the Hyogo subway station. A food market and a few restaurants are nearby. I can recommend this hotel.

Hyogo, NO GO!
Had to take the train to Sannomiya to connect to other places hence cost more in transportation. Also Hyogo did not have a large selection of restaurants and shopping. Next time we will stay in Sannomiya.

Great place to stay while in Kobe.
Great location, onlt draw back was the parking was hard to see and the hitel is on a one way streets. Pakrking is at the front of the hotel.

Simple and Convenient
The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. I didn't spend much time there - mostly just to sleep. Noise wasn't an issue. The morning buffet wasn't too expensive (1000 yen I think?).

It's okay I guess
They don't do the best cleaning job and they tend to move your stuff. There isn't much to do in the area so don't expect convenient sight seeing. Check-in is at 2pm, not 24/7, so don't come if that was what drew you here (it was the only reason we decided to stay and caused a big inconvenience when they told us). The door to the closet in our room actually fell off the second we opened it, it obviously had come unhinged a long time ago and they never fixed it. The room is a good size for what you're paying but the bedding smells like smoke even in the non-smoking rooms.

Ok business hotel has seen better days
It was a weekend, and at short notice but still an expensive hotel for what we got. It's 5min walk to the JR line. A great value restaurant is across the street. The room was fine except for the stained carpet. Bathroom is good.The male check-in guy was grumpy, but the ladies we encountered were nice. Elevator carpet was the grubbiest seen anywhere!

It is a decent hotel near a train stop.
The hotel was clean reasonably well appointed. The staff were OK. The location is somewhat out of the way, but it is near a station stop.

Room too warm & pls dont move my toiletries
Great location as it is near Hyugo train station. But the air condition is not cool enough as it was summer, room was quite warm even at night. Also The housekeeping shd not reorganise my toiletries jz so that she can place back the hotel toiletries (which we don't even use) in its usual place. As the face is basin is so small, some of my toiletries almost fell into the toilet bowl.

The hotel was as expected. A little out of the main area but still close to travel links. There are enough places to eat locally to eat somewhere different each time. A mix of local shops also near by for basic needs. The hotel staff are very friendly. Except when you turn up before 2pm check in time. I turned up at 1pm after 22 hours, door to door, traveling to Japan from the UK. I was checked inn and then told to return in an hour at 2pm. I was not too happy. The staff other than that were helpful. Not all spoke English but were able to tell me what time an English speaking member of staff was in. The breakfast was ok, it had something for everyone. Not amazing but ok. The food I did like was good. I would stay there again if I needed to but I know there are other hotels closer to the area I required. I would try them first, but have no problem coming here again if I had to.

ホテルの部屋は狭いが、きれいで過ごしやすかった。 バスルームの１ステップが大きいので、トイレから出る時に気をつけないと足をくじいてしまう可能性あり。 朝ご飯が和食、洋食両方のブッフェ充実して、美味しい。 駅からまあまあ近い。
