Start your search for an upmarket Ko Lanta base by checking out the amenities and rates at the Layana Resort & Spa - Adults Only (272 Moo 3 Saladan) and the Twin Lotus Koh Lanta by Burasari (199 Moo 1, Tambon Saladan). Alternatively, the Lanta Dream Garden Pool Villa (640 Moo 2 Soi Lanta Gym Mouy Thai) and the Coco Cape Lanta (443 Moo 1, Saladan, Klong Dao Beach) are a couple of properties well worth investigating if you're travelling on a budget.
There's nothing as satisfying as finally arriving at Phuket International Airport (HKT) after sitting down in a cramped cabin for hours. After you've collected your bags and had a good stretch, you'll find yourself around 60 miles from the centre of Ko Lanta.
Its location is not to be beaten - rooms in the garden area are very nice but being on the beach side (we tried both) is quite something. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Escape Coffee Bar serves some amazing coffee, perfect start to the day after a morning stroll on the beach.
Love the beach bar, love the guys running the bar (two blonde Asian guys), love the location. Its awesome value for money. The shower could have been a LITTLE warmer, but its Thailand so who cares about that?

Best hotel stay I have ever had. Everything from assisting booking excisions and cross country transportation, to packing us a lunch for our 6 am checkout with 7-8 options inside. Worth every penny.
